Would have given 0 stars if there’s an option. Went to dine in today with family after a wonderful evening with family at Werribee park. A girl came to us to take our order, she was wearing a black jacket.she was wonderful…we told her that we are two families and we want to place individual orders. I placed order first in which I clearly ordered 1 chicken curry and 3 butter nan’s. She has also repeated my order and she also wrote it down on a notepad she was carrying. Then my sister’s family has made an seperate order for their family. After wait of 20 minutes we finally received our orders. We got our chicken curry but we didn’t get our 3 butter Nan’s. We have poured curry on our plates but we( me and my wife) were still waiting for our Nan’s. I thought they might have forgotten. Then there was this pathetic girl wearing pink jacket and glasses behind the counter. She was extremely rude and full of unacceptable attitude. It was my biggest mistake to even ask her about my nan’s as she has ruined my evening. I ask her that we didn’t get our Nan’s she said they are coming. Again after waiting for a while I thought I should walk up to her and ask her again as she was working behind the counter. I said to her that I know you guys are busy but please we have already poured curry on our plates and still waiting for our Nan’s. She said she will look into it. With in few minutes she came to our table and she said from your table there was only a order of 8 tandoori roti’s and 1 butter nan but that order was actually made by my sister’s family. I told her that we have made a seperate order of 1 curry and 3 butter nan’s. But the way she was speaking to me she was clearly blaming me for the confusion. I think she should have checked with her staff first who took our order and then walk up to me to justify herself. She was very arrogant. I hate people like her who are working as a customer service representatives and don’t even know how to treat their customers and deal with there complaints. While paying bill my sister again told her that the way she came to the table carrying a order receipt in her hands and justifying herself and trying to Blame my brother for the muck up it was not good, it was not very professional she clearly told them she actually doesn’t care. Definitely they have lost a...
Read moreBored of all the restaurants in the south east corridor of melbourne, we ventured out to the western suburbs after much rave about the restaurants that way. We had been told about grace of punjab by a couple of known friends so thats where we went. Not knowing how the place would be, how the food would be, we gave it a shot and my, my, were we impressed. It was such a fresh ambience and it looked so royal with the granite floors and glass panels reaching for the ceiling. The waitresses were lovely and accommodating. We ordered a few starters including stuffed aloo pakodas(?), assortment of non veg tandoori items, dahi bhalla chaat and paneer shashlick tikka. Each item having its own character. My personal favourite was the dahi bhalla chaat. Chutneys were absolutely perfect and the texture of the papdi just the best! We were blown away by the portion size so couldnt eat too much mains so ordered daal maharani, goat curry and malai kofta. Goat curry taking us back to the famous pal dhaba in mohali punjab and malai kofta being passed by the mother which has since failed to find a perfect kofta in Australia! Daal was creamy and delicious. Naans did not lack any consistency either. The mains were served with a large bowl of complimentary fresh salad. The host, Honey personally asked us how we were going which added a nice touch to the experience. He recommended we try his famous mango ice cream which he prepares himself and also insisted we try his fresh paans. And wow what a punch of flavour in that ever so creamy ice cream finished off perfectly with a very satisfying meetha paan. I highly recommend this place and we will be back to try the nutri kulchas honey has...
Read moreI actually want to rate below 1 but unfortunately no such option. We three friends came specially driving from South eastern suburbs for a lunch. One of the friend is going back overseas next week and we thought to have a lunch together. Very very disappointed with the experience. Wasted 60kms and hour of travel each side. Utter waste of time, money and appetite. To summarise pointwise:
Table we were asked to sit was not cleared and we finally sit on where we were supposed to wait before the intended table would be ready. It stayed unclean.
No menu were offered. We had to go and pick up from other nearby table.
Water bottle was kept on table without glasses. Had to ask the glass specifically.
Didn't bothered to bring the soft drinks on any sort of tray just bought in hand and placed on table.
Ordered Paneer pakora and it was totally bland with no salt and other spices. No cutlery given for the chutney.
No cutlery given for mains and had to specifically ask for. Just gave one plate for three persons that too without spoons.
After placing order for a curry and breads after 15 minutes we were told that out of three types of bread two type not available. Requested to cancel the entire order of curry and breads.
The much reviewed Kulcha inspite of asking medium was totally bland without any taste.
In Australia majority of Indian restaurants I have visited till date staff customary ask about the food experience here noone asked a word. However it was least expected as well.
Highly disappointing and utter waste. To save the face in front of guest atleast we had...
