First of all, this place doesn't even deserve one star, if there was an option to rate zero stars or even less, I absolutely would, this was absolutely, unequivocally, without a doubt, one of the single worst customer service experiences I have ever had in my entire life. So, last night myself and my partner stumbled across Ghazal lndian Buffet & Bar on Menulog, the prices looked more than reasonable, so we thought, why not? Ordered a decent amount of food for what was just over $50, so far so good. About an hour and a half later the food still hadn't arrived, it's now well and truly getting towards the end of the estimated delivery time on Menulog, so we give the restaurant a call, after a bit of back and forth she finally told us that the food had been dispatched and the driver was now about 5 minutes away. About 10 minutes later the driver arrives, better late than never, at this point it's quite late in the evening and we just want to sit down and eat. We open up our water to find that the Coke Zero we ordered had been replaced by a $0.65 bottle of off-brand cola you would buy from ALDI, and that someone in the delivery process had already helped themselves to our drink. Along with this, the cold drink had been stored in the same bag as the hot food, which had now rendered it lukewarm at best, and the milk based lassie drink we ordered had been stored with the hot food and had now curdled. We rang the restaurant to complain, The lady that answered the phone this time round was actually nice enough about it, she gave me her mobile number so that we could send photos through, to which I did, alongside a lengthy explanation explaining our various concerns, and the reply I got was "Sorry for that. Contacted Menulog who to their credit were as helpful as they could be, the bloke we spoke to seemed just as concerned about the health aspects of this situation as we were, and not only offered us a full refund with a credit, but also insured us that Menulog would be investigating the restaurant further. Absolutely unacceptable experience on every front.

We ordered Chicken 65 and Mughalai Chicken for dinner tonight. The quality and taste has certainly dropped drastically since we last ordered. Extremely disappointed and will never order again or recommend this restaurant. The Chicken 65 arrived floating in oil. It tasted off right from the start and it is clear that it's been fried in stale oil. As it got colder it tasted of fish and at the end was utterly disgusting and inedible. The chicken was definitely stale. The Mughlai Chicken gravy tasted good but again the chicken was stale and some pieces tasted off and had an off-putting smell. It is clear that the chicken is going bad. Serving chicken that is going bad is a health hazard and this is the main reason I'm posting this review. I'm generally lenient, especially with restaurants having a tough time due to the Corona Virus but, this is unacceptable.

My visit to Ghazal was an accident. After driving down the street a couple of times, trying to find a restaurant that was open on a Monday, I came across this gem. It was an airy light-filled venue with pleasant staff that refreshingly up-sold me some entrees (you don’t see that very often these days). The food was elegant and quite unlike the “smack-in-your-face”, bold Indian flavours. It was quite refreshing that the food showed some restraint. We had the chicken tikka which was tender and succulent, some sort of a chaat that was crunchy, salty, sweet and delicious, a baingan bharta and the most delicious goat Bhuna that I have ever tasted! Definitely worth the visit and I will be back for sure.

"A True Gem in Werribee: Ghazal Indian Buffet & Bar"

Ghazal Indian Restaurant is, without a doubt, the only place in Werribee that truly ticks all the boxes when it comes to an exceptional dining experience. Living up to your expectations, this restaurant effortlessly combines tradition with elegance. The ambiance is a nostalgic nod to the prestigious fine dining establishments of the late '90s, evoking childhood memories of exquisite meals in a refined setting. It’s a rare treat to find such a timeless atmosphere that exudes both warmth and sophistication.

The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the restaurant. I was invited here for a friends birthday celebration and was a bit concerned after reading all these negative reviews. However I needn't have worried as the venue was perfect for a celebration. The buffet was delicious, perhaps not the best I've ever had but definitely not 1 star worthy, I'd give it a 4 out of 5. Indian food is my favourite cuisine so I have had a lot and the flavours here were all spot on, but by being served in a buffet it just meant some things weren't as hot. My friend had booked the majority of the restaurant and it turned into a bit of a dance party by then end of the night using their impressive sound system, playing a stream of Indian/Bollywood hits. I can see how, for other customers that could be frustrating as I'd read in other reviews, but you'd have to be fairly sour to not enjoy people having a great time. I'd definitely recommend this place for a large family function or gathering as it is so much fun as you have full control over the playlist. As a regular dining guest I'd advise you check to see if there's a function on, and decide if you're okay with loud music and people dancing while you eat - maybe you could even join in!

Hopefully less negative and sour people start reviewing this restaurant as honestly my experience was fantastic and these negative reviews nearly made me...
