My husband and 2 sons got burgers here and all 3 of them found bugs on their lettuce. When my husband informed the person behind the counter he just said "Oh thanks for letting me know, usually we wash the lettuce but sometimes there can be bugs". That was it. I'm sorry, but I can understand finding 1 bug in produce, but they are supposed to wash things properly to reduce this from happening. We found at least 10 live aphids in 3 burgers. My husband and kids were prepared to just eat the burgers after taking the bugs out, but after an additional bug crawled out of my son's burger I went back in to talk to the man again. It turned out to be the store manager, Patrick. I showed him the aphid and he said oh are you serious? Is it real? And then said oh yeah we had a conversation already and resolved it. I was shocked, but very calmly said really? Saying "oh thanks for letting me know, sometimes it happens" and letting my husband walk away was resolving it? Your burgers just come with bugs? I was so shocked that I was almost smiling in disbelief. I asked another customer waiting next to me if he thought that was resolving the issue and he said "I've worked in hospitality for 20 years and if that kind of thing happens you should replace the food or give a refund". I said "I'm trying to be reasonable, I'm not the type to get angry and I can understand if there was one bug in the lettuce, but this is multiple bugs throughout 3 burgers. I don't understand how you can say it's resolved." After a short silence, then Patrick said "oh well I guess I can replace them or give you a refund." I said ok let me ask my husband. My husband said he was ok with a replacement so I took the burgers back in and they replaced them. One of the replacement burgers came with a 2 aphid seasoning. At this point my husband was just resigned to it, took off the piece of lettuce with the bugs and decided to just eat the burger. The store manager came out to ask how the replacements were and we politely said, actually we did find 2 bugs. We showed him the lettuce and my husband even apologised for the multiple complaints, but they should know that their burgers are coming out with multiple bugs in them. Patrick them said he would give us a refund, which is why I am giving the extra star, otherwise I would have given one star. I could understand that there could be a head of lettuce that they missed a few bugs. But the initial response when the manager was told this information was unacceptable. He literally acted like it should be accepted and that the issue was resolved by my husband being told "thanks". I would advise that all produce be washed VERY thoroughly in future and for a better response to customer issues to be implemented. We should have been offered a replacement or refund from the get go, I should not have had to go in after my husband and argue with the manager and get another customer involved in order to get this addressed properly. I do appreciate that we eventually got a refund, but I felt initially dismissed by the store manager and treated like I was being unreasonable for expecting him to deal with the issue. The only reason he even offered a replacement or refund was because the other customer said that was what should happen and backed me up. If I was in there by myself I believe Patrick would have continued to dismiss me and say the situation has already...
Read moreCame here last night after having originally going to the park restaurant down the road, found there menue rather "Bland and generic", well that's just me anyway. Fast forward 20 wasted minutes there and we end up at Truck Stop Deluxe. Sweet Jesus, best decision I have made in recent times. I'll start with the staff, awesome just doesn't quite cut it, they were really friendly, listened and delivered without mistake. Everything you could want from front of house staff. Should probably mention that I'm the kind of person you'd dread to go to dinner with, overly critical on the food and service. As for the food, GIMME MORE! I got the chicken pieces and the El Gringo burger with bacon added. The chicken pieces were boneless thigh fillets with buttermilk coating and fried. They were juicey, hot, loads of flavor and not oily, perfect to say the least👌 The buger was also amazing, hot, loads of flavour easy to handle, not overfilled to the point everything is blowing out the back side of it. Winning combination for me. If I had to pick something to winge about, it would be the cheese flavoured corn chips in the buger, bit strong of a flavour, I reckon the plain ones would be better, but that's just my taste buds. Other wise, perfect 👌 Overall I give it a 5/5, the combination of the staff, the food and the quality is a winning product, keep it up, it works, I'll...
Read morePretty cool truck themed burger joint with different road signs displayed throughout the place. Menu is pretty extensive with over 10 burger options, a section dedicated to chickens, some sides and desserts.
Ordered the following: Saint Side Burger which had two thick beef patties, some fresh vegetables, cheese, and mick sauce which was some kind of mayo. Burger was huge but the patties were on the dry side; tasted alright but got flavour fatigue half way through Popcorn chicken was decent with a nice crunchy coating Onion rings were also nice and crunchy but a little too salty Nutella waffles contained chocolate ice cream, whipped cream and strawberry slices sandwich between two waffles. Waffles barely have any crispiness on the outer layer, and the whipped cream just goes everywhere when trying to cut into bite size. Taste wise it was sweet and delicious after all the heavy salty food.
Overall friendly staff and the serving size was huge even for the sides, but food was...
