Grindstone Kitchen — Restaurant in Melbourne

Whilst the coffee is great, the staff isn't. I requested a coffee and a 'toasted' almond croissant for 'take away'; instead got a coffee and a 'BURNT' almond croissant.

I would have given a benefit of the doubt but the staff went to the lengths of concealing their mistake by adding extra ordinary amount of white sugar (see photo) on top of the croissant as if we will not notice the burnt taste.

Poor poor customer service and unethical behaviour. Wish they try and serve burnt food to an in-store order.

My partner Kera and I were new to the area and searching for a new local. Since we were previously from Geelong (coffee central) we were keen to find a place that we just loved just as much as some of the local cafes from back in Geelong. Neil, Trista Jacque and the Grindstone kitchen team are now our new locals, always friendly, always hilarious and the coffee is always 10/10. We love going and highly recommend them.

Come here if you have all day or not starving cos you will be after a 40min wait for the food. Lady behind the counter is argumentative when asked how long more the food is going to take.
