Went here for lunch with 3 pensioners yesterday. Firstly they refused a booking because we didn't have at least 5 people in our group. Last time we were left waiting for a table because we didn't book, so we didn't want that to happen again. Thankfully it didn't, there was plenty of room inside. Three of us ordered the same meal (the lunch bowl), which was a bowl of salad with brown rice and avocado. Two of the orders had fried chicken for the choice of meat, one had felafel. The other lady had the noodle bowl and loved it. I dont expect much, I'm not Gordon Ramsay, but in the past our meals have always been excellent, great quality, and full of flavour, and we've always had great service. Meals arrived reasonably fast, it was tiny, and looked like it was literally presented for a child who liked their food in compartments... It was only when we were almost finished eating I realised that only one of us received avocado on ours. We then confirmed with the waitress it was not an add on extra charge by whoopsie on the menu - nope, it was supposed to be on all 3 bowls. The brown rice was cold, and tasted like it was from a microwave packet rather than prepared on site fresh that morning. (had the same texture of oil on it to stop it sticking in the sachet - gross) For $24 per bowl, maybe I expected more as in the past we have had wonderful meals here. This bowl was literally just segments of rice, lettuce, tomato, and some beans, assembled around the plate, with a couple of triangle pieces of crispy bread, and the tiny pieces of fried chicken... Not even worth paying $12 for in my opinion, there was nothing at all special - not even any effort in presentation. Plus missing something that was intended to be on it, half an avocado. My coffee, on the other hand, was excellent. This review is based on how they handled it. They did not offer a discount. There was no apology as such, rather a "I can't believe they didn't put the avocado on 2 of the 3" from the staff member. They were not busy at the time, perhaps they have changed chef... Not sure, but the menu was different. When I mentioned to the lady on paying that we should not have to pay full price for the 2 incomplete meals, she said she had no ability on the till to remove part of the price... There was no offer for anything to acknowledge the error... It was a "too bad" kind of feel from them and I didn't push it, because I should not need to. Based solely on their handling of the issue, I will not return with my friends. Very disappointing effort here by...
Read moreI had the M + H Breakfast with scrambled eggs and a Latte in a mug. Everything was perfect. Prompt friendly greeting as I approached, Even the barista looked at me and acknowledged my existence (even though she was busy making coffees) Seated quickly in a nice spot that they chose (which was nice to not have to pick a table as that is adding to my mental load 😂) water on table as you’re seated (again - without asking, less decisions to make the better!) my table had booth seats and regular chairs, so I chose the cushioned booth. the chefs only hit the bell once for meals and hit it loud enough to hear but not so loud that your ears hurt. I was sitting right next to it and wasn’t disturbed by any anxious chefs - which I loved. the music was happy and upbeat and at a comfortable volume. temperature was warm but not too hot coffee was delicious without sugar, a full body flavour, not too milky, not too bitter… perfectly extracted. Milk was beautifully frothed and was photo-worthy with a heart on top (see pic) food was so tasty, every element was perfectly seasoned and portioned with a simple edible garnish (see pic) customer service was warm and friendly with a follow-up check completed once I’d started eating. We had some lovely small talk as needed (I’d just come from a job interview and was still feeling the nerves) when my coffee was cleared, the waitress asked me if I wanted another, star pupils with excellent inviting service! I was left to happily take my time to write this review and sip on my water. What a great vibe for a meeting, catch-up or special occasion.
Thank you for creating a wonderful experience for my first visit, I’ll definitely be back and will be sharing this spot with friends.
Sincerely, A happy customer with a full belly and happy heart 😊 P.s. this is why we move to...

A fantastic local brunch spot with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The café has a modern yet cozy feel, perfect for a slow morning or casual catch-up. While we had to give our outdoor table a quick wipe and tidy before sitting down, everything else about the experience was spot on.
The food was generous and full of flavour. I ordered the mushroom on toast — a beautiful mix of pan-fried mushrooms cooked in truffle oil and thyme butter, served with chimichurri, a perfectly poached egg, and creamy goat cheese on multigrain toast. Every bite was rich, earthy, and well-balanced. My partner went for the massive chicken burger — crispy southern fried chicken paired with Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, slaw, and a tasty spicy burger sauce, all on a fresh seeded bun with a side of crunchy fries. It was hearty, satisfying, and definitely lived up to its name.
We finished with a flat white and a self-poured chai — both smooth and well-made. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a great spot year-round, and the shared parking with nearby shops makes it convenient to visit.
Overall, Morris and Heath delivers excellent food, friendly service, and a laid-back vibe — a great place to start your weekend or enjoy a casual brunch in...
