I came here for the first time as a birthday present with my support worker on the 11th of august. After my own abusive partner and 15 year old daughter ignored it wss my birthday. We were served by a young male and sat outside. I hadn't seen the the no smoking sign and lite a smoke. He came out verbally abusing me, shaming me. I put my smoke out as quick as I could and politely apologised. He continued to abuse me. At the point my support worker helped me to my feet, handed me by walking stick, tears streaming down my face. She helped to out the front and went in to the comfort the staff member. Apparently no manger was working that day. The staff tried to lie and say I was a regular trouble maker, who was faking my disability and started swearing at my support worker and then kicked her out.
I cant even go anywhere near the roundabout or the play ground near by with out being reminded of the shame, the lies and abuse from this staff member. I would never recommend anyone one eat or have a cuppa there. Yes the chocolate was the best I have ever tasted but I wouldnt put myself through the tramua of returning. My support worker has made sure no one from the company she owns will ever go there ever again. Please teach your staff to stop judging people, making up lies and being rude.
I have only just found the strength to complain as my phone gave me the chance to do a...
Read moreA girlfriend and I went here after visiting the yarra valley chocolatier for Easter Egg shopping. It was much calmer and quieter and a pleasant visit all round. Before we did out shopping we decided to have a drink and dessert. As we were at the counter we discussed sharing our tarts (half each). When it arrived at our table they had cut them in half for us, with out us asking, which made it easier to share. We also recieved a free easter egg and during our visit another chocolate was offered to us from a tray. They were reasonably priced, service was good and the venue was clean and tidy. I would highly recommend a visit to this venue if you are in the Montrose area. Will keep it in mind for gifts and...
Read moreI recently organised a gathering for an adult learning class at Hahndorf's Fine Chocolates, Montrose, prior to Easter.
The Hahndorf's team were more than helpful, organising a beautiful, long table for us in the sunny, open cafe, which offered a lovely atmosphere. The service was extremely friendly and efficient, both over the phone and in person!
The coffee, drinks, scones and decadent selection of chocolates were delicious. Everyone loved choosing a unique complimentary chocolate with their drink; a favourite on the day being the divine 'Black Forest Truffle'.
Our group also enjoyed strolling the inviting garden after our sumptuous morning tea. A most enjoyable day for all!...
