The food and coffee were great however our waitress wasent very nice which made the whole experience very awkward and unwelcoming. We attended as a family of 3 adults and a table was available but had some cups and plates left on it from the previous customers. We took a seat and my mum asked the waitress if she could clear the table for us, however the waitress said that she was to busy and ask us if we could seat on a small table for two against the glass door. By this point half the caffee was empty inside. We told her that we were waiting for my dad and that we will be 3 people but she continued to argue saying she could set it up for 3. There was no way that 3 grown adults would have fitted in a table for two without being squished together especially when we were sitting on a table for 4 already and just needed the cups to be cleared. From that moment on the waitress got visibly upset because she had to clear the table, just to clarify we were in no rush and would have been happy to wait a few minutes for her to come back and clear it. From that point forward the waitress was rude, didn't smile, didn't wipe down our table or bring us any cutlery and when she brought the coffee order to us I asked which of the coffees was extra hot she responded very rudely as if I was bothering her. I have never experienced such a horrible atmosphere and awkwardness needless to say our whole breakfast was ruined. It's a shame because my parents were regular customers but I don't think we will be returning any time soon. I hope management train their staff better on...
Read moreWhoever the young girl was working at the counter taking orders at around 1pm today (04/12/24) needs to find a job that doesn’t involve customer service. My 83 year old grandma wanted to buy a vanilla slice and a couple of babyccinos for her great granddaughters. When ordering she asked the girl whether she would be able to cut the vanilla slice in half to which she responded “no, I’m gonna let you do that” with no further explanation as to why. I assume it was because a vanilla slice is a little messy so perhaps next time try saying that? Is it really so difficult to say “oh I’m sorry, vanilla slices are difficult to cut up and I don’t want to make it messy for you” instead of just a straight up “no”? Then when my grandma went to pay on her card it didn’t initially go through but I think she thought it had she she started walking away to which the girl said “um you actually have to pay for those. See where it says tap your card? That’s what you do. Tap your card” in the most condescending, smart ass tone. Who talks to an 83 year old lady like? My grandma is also of an ethnic background, I’m not sure whether that had anything to do with her behaviour or not. But it was repulsive. No decent human being behaves like that. Find a different field of work. One where you don’t interact with people. I will never,...
Read moreToday my sister and I went for a toasted sandwich. There was 5 people In the Cafe.
20min in, people who came AFTER us got their cooked meals. I went to the kitchen area, my sandwich then came out, but my sister's didn't until another 10min. I had already finished. These toasted sandwiches were $12.00 & only one measly piece of tomato in it. We both were dissatisfied with the service, food, and overall poor service.
Seems this is a common accurance which is a worry.
This shop has changed management many times. I live locally & they seem to serve who they want quickly while leaving others with long waits.
Two toasted sandwiches should NOT have taken 30min. Too much talking by staff, and not much customer service given.
I threw away my card loyalty card today, as we have no intention of returning.
If I could give ZERO...
