Tried calling but they wouldn’t answer their phones. Probably inundated with sick people calling in about the salad that had gone off.

Yes, the chicken and avocado salad was off. Inedible and putrid. Not the first time I’ve had bad food and service here unfortunately. Disgusting and dangerous serving that and not doing anything about it. For once I’m glad my kids don’t eat anything that looks like salad.

And get this… the staff don’t wear masks and won’t serve customers that don’t wear them LMFAO. Hypocrisy at it’s finest. We’re to believe that they have exemptions but they won’t believe their customers? DHHS will be visiting soon I think. Arrogance is what seems to me to be what fuels this behaviour as they’re so busy, not because they have good food but purely due to the lack of competition.

I also bought both fried chicken (received mostly wing pieces) and charcoal chicken - yep both dry. It’s a hit and miss with this place as sometimes it’s alright. My advice, avoid this place, they’ve been like this for years but the poison they served up tonight was the last straw. I will be making a complaint to the council this time.

Much cheaper and more delicious fried chicken at Red Rooster around the corner. Even the greasy KFC’s are nicer in my opinion.

As for the customer service, the 2 boys were extremely friendly but the arrogant girl that regularly works there and the old angry lady who’s always there were both consistent in being rude and inhospitable. At least that was consistent and not surprising, definitely not a compliment though.

DID I MENTION THAT THEY'RE SERVING...

The place has changed negatively under the new management. You use to have your chips loaded in your meal packs, the chips use to be hot and fresh, they use to be crunchy, now it sits above the fryer keeping warm and now you only get a bare serve of chips to go with the inflatted prices of the meals. The potato cakes and dim sims sit pre cooked in the warmer for long periods of time, they surely wont be hot anymore (havent had them for a long time because i have no idea when they get cooked anymore). The chickens use to be fresh and constantly coming off the spit as so many people would get a feed from here, now your chickens are sitting in the warmer for hours, and theres nothing cooking when you walk pass any more, a clear sign of the negative impact of the current management. The prices have shot up, quality is poor, we have provided feed back, but its not improving. My years of going for a sunday chicken and chips will now change to something fresher and...

Been going to Hi 5 chicken for so many years. Would normally buy large amounts of food everytime. Previous owner and staff we wonderful. Absolutely wonderful customer service. New staff could answer basic questions like: Has management changed? Ans: I don't know Is your chicken still halal? Ans: I wouldn't have a clue. Staff staring at me blankly. Can you please ask the manager? 1st male Staff asks a female staff. Ans: No. Female staff comments loud enough for me to hear "chicken is just chicken". I ask another male staff who their manager was. He did not know. 5.Had to point at female staff and ask is she your manager? Staff member taps female staff and asks "are you the manager?"
