If you ever looking for to fix your lunch time hunger with good honest and well prepared food. You should most definitely give this little Bakery a go. They dont try to be something they are not but they sure as hell will serve you with a great lunch which has been made from the heart and tastes fantastic. If i had to recommend anything from the menu id would have to say their Burgers are great, their quiche is great, there calzones are great, there sausage rolls are great. The re-opening and rebranding of this modern day Merlynston icon has been the greatest thing that 2022 has gifted us. The fabulous new cafe fit out at Icarus Coffee gives off major chillaxed vibes and in house roasting capacity showcasing Nikhil’s incredible passion, skill and expertise in the art of coffee have simply elevated what has always been merlo’s crown jewel cafe. I have had at least 50 coffees at this cafe and in all those coffees there has been only 1 that wasn't amazing (it was good though). This is my go to cafe when I have run out of beans and it has passed my 'first coffee for the day' test every time(that means it HAS to be an excellent coffee).
