That Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Melbourne

The coffee itself was great — solid double espresso and quality beans. No issue with that.

However, I clearly mentioned I was dining in, not taking away. Yet I was served my coffee in a takeaway cup while sitting inside. That’s not a small oversight. If dine-in cups aren’t available, the bare minimum is to inform the customer upfront.

Also, just to clarify — I ordered a double espresso, not a short black. I don’t care if some think they’re the same — I know what I ordered, and that’s what I expect to receive.

The way this was handled felt careless and dismissive — like a quiet way of saying, “we don’t really want you here.” I literally walked out.

I genuinely appreciate the quality of your coffee, but the experience left me feeling disrespected. Thought you should know

NEVER COMMING TO THIS...

I arrived a bit before 12:30, the person rushed me to order becuase they decided to close at 12:30. I asked if it means just kitchen closed, he said yes but you can still eat here. I called my partner who was on her way, to make a rushed order.

Decided to check out a local spot.... After we order we are then told, no you have to leave, can't eat here, closing now. We left a bit shocked, while a number of tables were still sitting eating undisturbed.

I have no idea why they decided to treat us so poorly, and the lack of clarity about closing time left a very bitter taste. It's the only thing that left any taste as we were not given a chance...

Beautiful little out of the way local coffee shop. Which are often the best.. The coffee was fabulous. A Great smooth creamy taste and hot. I ordered sour dough toast with Tomatoes, Hash brown and Bacon. So the hash brown was a little greasy and my Tomato was not cooked properly. However it wasn't a deal breaker because this little coffee shop was so clean and welcoming it just didn't matter and as I said the coffee perfect I loved that the staff were very friendly and that they cook some of thier cakes fresh also...
