Urban Dough Pizza and Pasta Bar Coburg — Restaurant in Melbourne

Lemmie tell you guys a tale.

We moved nearby at the start of the year. We'd just spent the day moving boxes twice our size so we decided to reward ourselves with some dough. Fortuitous though it was that there happened to be a pizza place nearby, we decided to reserve our opinions until we'd tasted it.

And let me tell ya.

The dough - soft at the tip and yet had the crunchiest of the crunchy crusts. The cheese, generous. The vegetables, well-cooked. The meat, ample but, like, not overpowering.

We soon became fans to the point that we were ordering almost three pizzas a week.

Every time we came in they smiled at us - knew us, of course by name, and were quick and effective.

Nowadays, they are so damn lovely to us, that they DELIVER to our home.

This is of course a result of our proximity - but I do not doubt that their quality customer service would not extend to those in the same position.

The pizza is phenomenal. The service comes with love and sincerity.

They are not our pizza guys. They are our pizza family.

P.S. Even for a gluten free gal, she felt the love.

Nice pizzas but bad 'penny pinchers' which sours the taste and enjoyment plus makes it no longer budget conscious despite honest feedback. False and misleading advertising is illegal under Australian Consumer Law (Sch 2 Sec 18) but they ignore this. Some special deals advertised as including all traditional pizzas but you are then charged EXTRA for including The Lot pizza (though it's a traditional pizza in other pizza places and is traditional on the menu). You add an ingredient which is $2 extra on large pizzas which is fair BUT if you also remove an ingredient there is no $2.00 discount on the same large pizza so they penny pinch in one hand and keep the profit on your reduced ingredient in the other hand. 1/2 and 1/2 pizzas are not priced fairly (ie not 1/2 + 1/2 plus $1.00 fee) but are seriously overcharged by an extra 21% on top of what you should be charged. You may want to look elsewhere where the customer service is provided fairly and honestly which exists if you look for it in other Coburg...

Ordered on their website at 10.10pm, paid and made my way to the store to collect my meal. Only to find they were closed. I then called the next day to be told “my manager will call you back at 5pm” Later that night after not receiving a phone call I went to the store where I was told “the refund will be processed tomorrow morning and I’ll give you a call” The next morning still no phone call and the excuse “you must’ve spoken to the other manager”

Pretty poor that after accepting an order online while closed that twice you failed to meet your word and return a call. And that I had to go out of my way to get my money back.
