I ordered two pani puri and samosa the pani pauri water was expired the samosa was good I called the store back and told them about the issue they said they gonna refund me and they did refund me and they said they gonna give me pani puri for free I said instead of that can I have something else the staff said yes I said okay and when I called them back to give the order they are giving me the option that I can only order from chaat and nothing else First thing they are at fault and second thing you need to make customer happy when you are in mistake rather then giving them condition it was the first time I visited the restaurant but I don’t think I am going to go back and one last thing if I want I can complain to council about the food but I didn’t need to train the staff so that they can make the...

Saw many good reviews but sadly the food didn't live up to them. Butter chicken was overly sweet and hardly any chicken mostly sauce (chicken itself was good but there wasnt enough pieces), Lamb rogan josh had 1cm layer of lukewarm oil on top of the dish (lamb itself was tender) which was off putting, tandoori was juicy but lacked any flavour, we tried 3 different naan and none had any flavour really, couldnt tell the garlic apart from the butter or cheese. Samosas were the best part, they were flavourful and crispy although again very oily. Ordered direct with the restaurant at 5.30pm, and got food just before 7pm. I had to call to find out where it was as we were waiting so long. There's plenty of other indian places around so I'll be trying...

Indian Essence is Gem located in Glenroy, I recently moved to the area and was in the mood for some good Indian food, happy to say they did not disappoint, the food was excellent and had just the right amount of heat, also recently I have noticed that serving sizes have become smaller and prices have skyrocketed, but Indian essence, has kept serving sizes large and food quality high for under a $100 dollars me and my partner were able to eat our fill and still have leftovers, definitely can't wait to try dinning in, would highly recommend this restaurant if your in the pascoe vale area as well, also could not finish this review without a big shout out to the very helpful young lady that took my order she was very polite and took time to explain...
