Glenroy RSL — Restaurant in Melbourne

I travelled an hour and 15 minutes from the other side of town to have lunch with 3 dear friends. I do have a crazy sense of humour, and I have to commend the gentleman behind the cash register, Scott, for having a wonderful sense of humour and playing along with me. I had a lovely seniors meal with vegetables, and I asked for one chip only I repeat, ONE CHIP ONLY on top of my fish 😜 It’s a mind game I play with myself. I really just want to taste of a chip but not the whole serve. I kept a straight face and he was quite taking it back initially to make a long story short, one of the wait staff came to our table, and presented me with my coffee as was ordered and the other three got their drinks, and then next next to mycoffee came one entree plate with a heart drawn on it with tomato sauce, and one chip. Food was standard fare. Tried ordering a Veal parma, which was not on the menu, however veal schitzel was, as was chicken parma. it appears that they couldn't transfer the ingredients, which might indicate that the the food is pre-prepared, possibly brought in frozen. Fair enough, pretty standard stuff. I ordered 2 Southern and cokes, which were so watered down that they were horrible to drink. I said nothing and had the drink. On the second order, I mentioned to the bartender that the drinks were very watery and could he check the dispenser was working correctly. He disappeared for a minute and said that it was the only way it would dispense. He offered to use bottled coke, which I agreed. He then asked for $22 for 2 drinks. I informed him that he could keep his drinks. The thing that under under my craw, was that not only had I paid for substandard drinks in the first place but he also expected me to pay extra to provide a drink that he should have provided in the first place. This morning I went to your venue to enjoy an early morning session on the pokies and have a coffee with a friend. I asked for another coffee, but because I was sitting in the foyer with my friend I was denied a cup of coffee. I am a paying member and regularly spend thousands of dollars at your venue Only to be told that I can't have a coffee. It's the way that I was ignored by the staff, in fact it was Mel, Head Huncho behind the scenes. I have found her on many occasions at the venue very rude and non friendly to the patrons. She could have been nice and come up to me and said well we can make you a coffee if you stay in the gaming area. No none of that but a threat to say We'll call the police on you. That's It! You've lost me as a member and a paying patron of you venue. In fact I won't be endorsing any RSL Venue Ever for they are robbing people blind in your venues anyway.
