ORDERED: ๐ŸฅŸ Mad Momo's Platter (12 pieces): Combination of 3 pieces of Steam, Fried, Chilly and pan fried momo chicken served with thick tomato based sauce ($21.50) ๐Ÿ Chatpatey: Mixture of dry noodles and puffed rice with freshly cut diced onion, tomatoes, boiled potatoes, peanuts and flavoured with Nepalese spices ($13.00)

$17.25pp

REVIEW: โœŒ Second time having Momos. The experience now has confirmed that for me that fried Momos are superior (I'm a big fan of crunchy textures). Mad Momos are generous with their offering of two choices of sauces compared to the previous cafe I've been to. Even though the prices are slightly more expensive per momo. I also appreciate that they let you choose the filling type with buffalo being a unique option!! ๐Ÿ˜Ž The Chatpatey is a new experience for my friend and I and we found it to be more a refreshing snack, rather than a warm dish. Better shared between 3-4 people in my opinion.

๐Ÿค” However, for me (personally and speaking generally) chinese-style dumplings are preferred. Momos bring an interesting savouriness and spiciness, but the vinegar in chinese sauces are preferred to add a bit more interest and a twist in your mouth.

Service is very friendly but a big focus on self service. Nonetheless, Mad Momos is a great choice if you want to dip your toes into Nepalese food. I did note diners next to us had it in soup version, so maybe this is a...

I ordered momo and chatpate from this restaurant through Uber Eats, and unfortunately, the food didn't agree with me. The moment I finished eating, I had a severe stomach ache. The taste and quality of the food were clearly subpar, and it's unacceptable that it caused such discomfort.

Delivery was timely, but that's where the positives end. The restaurant's hygiene and food preparation standards seem questionable, and I wouldn't risk ordering from here again. Hopefully, others can learn from my experience and make...

I must say that the food is delicious. It has been my favourite place to eat Nepalese food that tastes authentic. However, I am disappointed to that they constantly Hindi songs in the restaurant. This has ruined the authenticity of the place for me. I donโ€™t enjoy dining in anymore and have been avoiding it as much as I can. I would like to request the restaurant management to stop playing Hindi songs in the Nepali restaurant. It would be great if they could play Nepalese music instead to maintain the authenticity...

Drove past this new joint and thought to give a try (takeaway). Unexpectedly, it turned out to be a GREAT find. Delivery and takeaways donโ€™t do justice to real flavour but even a takeaway, it was really good. Sekuwa set is par excellent. Momo (jhol) was really good - probably the best in Melbourne. Will go back to dine in to see how better it can get served hot. To the owner, great food and do try to maintain the taste. Coming from an experienced restaurateur.
