I left this place on Wednesday 9/4/2025 feeling embarrassed and humiliated. I often dine here on my own and feel quite comfortable about that. I like a Parma and order from the Seniors menu. The last 3 meals l have ordered have almost been void of chicken. The latest one that l actually complained about has the crumbs meeting in the middle. The thicker side was 2 thicknesses of the side of the fork. It was also extremely oily. I left more than half uneaten and went to pay. Had one staff member about to take my payment when a girl with long blonde hair ran across. Her excuse to me about the quality of the meal was that l had only ordered a senior’s meal and what did l expect. My response was that we don’t deserve food !! She also said that the chicken schnitzels come in ready made and they have no control over the quality. What crap l say. Gave me a 50% discount on a meal that was half eaten. Only took the photos to send to my daughter while sitting there sad and ripped off again. Member No 0119107719 Not happy.
Dear “Management” Thank you for your prompt and helpful reply. I commend you for confirming you have little control of the quality of the outsourced produce and therefore one presumes the preparation and handling as well. Thank you for also pointing out that l have had bad luck with those sneaky little below par ones three times in a row. Taking your advice on board l ventured down to the Keilor Hotel on Friday night and only ordered from the senior’s menu. Of course from the advice of your staff l should not have expected much. Well you can understand my surprise at their in-house chef prepared offering. To aid your head chef l have included a photo on the inside of the Parma for reference. Thank you also for only charging me for the portion of your meal l managed to eat. Have a...
Read moreJBJ’s Restaurant and Bar is a vibrant spot perfect for anyone seeking a relaxed yet lively dining experience. The menu offers a wide range of dishes, from hearty pub classics to more refined options, and even features an Asian section for those craving something different. I had the Singapore noodles from that section, and they were a standout—flavorful, with the perfect balance of spices and fresh ingredients. The dish was well-prepared, and the portion size was generous, making it a satisfying option if you're in the mood for Asian cuisine.
The bar is equally impressive, featuring an extensive drink selection, including craft beers, cocktails, and a good variety of wines. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable, able to recommend drinks that pair well with your meal or simply whip up your favorite cocktail with ease.
One of the standout aspects of JBJ’s is its ambiance. The decor is modern yet cozy, with comfortable seating that’s perfect for both intimate dinners and larger group gatherings. The live music nights add to the atmosphere, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy some tunes while you dine or grab drinks with friends.
Service is attentive and welcoming, with staff who are genuinely invested in making your experience enjoyable. They’re quick to accommodate any dietary requests or provide recommendations from the menu.
If there’s any drawback, it’s that JBJ’s can get quite busy during peak times, so making a reservation is recommended, especially on weekends. But even when it’s bustling, the vibe is still enjoyable without feeling too chaotic.
Overall, JBJ’s Restaurant and Bar offers great food, a lively atmosphere, and friendly service, making it a go-to destination for a...
Read moreWith regret I have to voice my disappointment with my meal. I have been there on numerous occasions and had no reason to complain. I ordered chicken stuffed with shrimp, scallops etc. When I received my meal it looked delicious, but when I opened it the chicken was totally raw, I asked the waiter to have a look & he admitted it was raw & apologised and he will return it to the chef. I ordered the same meal & requested the chicken to be well cooked as anybody would expect. I received the meal & when I opened the chicken it was also raw, I asked the waiter to have a look & he apologised and offered me another meal I said I've been put off & couldn't eat anything after that, & wasn't going to pay for a raw chicked meal. I requested to see the chef, but he didn't come. We waited for the bill 1/2 hr which didn't help, as I walked out I passed the kitchen spoke with the chef he apologised for the 1st meal which he admitted was raw. He said he checked the second meal & it was cooked, I told him chicked isn't pink when cooked & he replied saying it was the color from the shrimps. I think that's a pathetic answer coming from a chef. I left couldn't believe what he just said, to cover his back. Look at the picture anybody could see Chicken is pink and some places totally raw, nothing like the color of the shrimps. I totally understand mistakes happen but make an attempt to correct it the 2nd. time, Serving raw chicken is totally unacceptable. Ask the...
