Jetty's Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

Jetty’s Rosebud, what a disappointment!!! It seems this place only welcomes locals with open arms and a big smile on their face but when it comes to visitors and tourists I highly recommend against this place!!! My husband, three children and I were treated like outsiders and second class citizen’s upon entry by the owner herself, being told we close at 9pm are you able to order and eat quickly, it was just after 8pm which is completely understandable we decided to stay only because the restaurant was almost at full capacity with diners in and out, a birthday party of 20 sitting diners and regular locals that the owner was quite enthusiastically happy to have constant chitchats with. Once seated we were pushed and encouraged to order our meals after only being seated for 2 minute literally not enough time to even go through the whole menu, my 11yr old couldn’t even order an adult meal out of fear of not being able to finish it in time. After placing our orders my children and I decided to have three milkshakes and an iced coffee to add to our order that we just placed only to get a disapproving look by the owner and I was told the coffee machine had been cleaned and turned off despite the fact the restaurant was full of diners that had not yet finished their meals it was 8:20pm. After wolfing down our meals in an absolute rush despite the fact the restaurant was still full of diners the four local diners seated in front of us that had constant chitchats with the owner asked the waitress for four coffees they were told the machine was turned off but she was more then happy to turn it back on and make some coffees for them!?!?!? So my husband asked the same waitress since the machine is turned on could you please make my wife a iced coffee because we were told the machine was turned off for the night, the waitress was more than happy to do so. When the waitress informed the owner, the owner came over to our table and rudely said “I did not say the coffee machine was broken.” Clearly a communication breakdown happened somewhere along the lines but at the end of the day that is not the point!!! Don’t get me wrong compliments to the chef even though we really didn’t enjoy our meals but the owner needs to work on her people skills because her lack of professionalism and manners lets the rest of the team down!!!! Worst place i have ever eaten at. Even fast junk food is better. Went in on a Sunday afternoon for dinner, I ordered the jetty parma, my partner the gnocchi with pork meatballs, fennel, snow peas, ricotta in a tomato sauce. Parma came out not with the gnocchi, on its own, so already I either have to eat alone or let mine go cold waiting for my partners meal. As luck would have it my parma was obviously a left over because it was dry and burned to a crisp, while everything under the mozzarella cheese was still cold and raw it went back. Partners meal comes out now, so she has to eat alone. Let me tell you your meatballs were non existent, it was just shredded up pieces of mince, the size of a pea. When we told and showed the waitress, she said regardless its still regarded as meatball. Obviously she's never seen meatballs before. Gnocchi were extremely overcooked, not even home made, and apparently the chef forgot to add the snow peas. Your waiter was very apologetic, but your 5,counted them, 5 snow peas, stir fried turned up in a small bowl when my partner had finished her meal. Now I receive my jetty specail parma, freshly cooked chicken breast. Thats where it ended. Everything under the cheese is still cold and raw. The eggplant, how discusting, not even fresh eggplant, it was pickled eggplant and still full of its marinade, i was waiting to taste the sun dried tomatoes, as advertised, im no chef but i know the difference both in taste and look af a sun-dried and a semi dried which is what a got in the size of a 5 cent piece tomato. Put it down to bad experience we decided to pay and leave. Not even asked how our meal was, we paid by visa. Now im pretty sure it is illegal to add on a surcharge for using visa, especially when there are no prominent signs...

I booked a table outside 1 week prior. Visiting from Melbourne, 2 of us were told to sit down. After waiting 25 minutes for staff to come and take our order, (I saw staff many time look over, I called them they never came. Two of the staff, two guys were talking and two girls were talking outside on the ramp and looked over to our table I waived for them to come take our order, they just walked off, we were about to leave, then realised most places needed a booking and most closed at 9pm, so we were not in luck. I had to go in and ask, am I supposed to order here at counter, I've been waiting for 25 minutes. Then they Followed me. Manager guy, said he waived the drinks, I'm thinking it was only 10 bucks, You serious. No pizza base on pizza.

But I thought by this time after they took our order it would be realised they would try and do better, didn't the Owner goto deakin,

Anyways, I asked for a pizza box to take to hotel for my partner, I asked the lady, she said shed get it, 10 minutes after that, I saw her helping other customers, when she rushed out she glances over at our table and quickly ran inside like she forgot.

While we were waiting for our meals to be ordered after 25 minutes the young lady with glasses came outside next to our table and saw us, but didn't even bother to tell other staff, She came out several times. I noticed if you want bad service stay in rosebud. It was better when I was 18...
