Kelvin Bar — Restaurant in Melbourne

Great ambience. Great support staff. The owner is a bit stilted with convo, but never mind. Five of us arrived at 5pm intending to stay till 8:30 when our movie at The Westgarth cinema directly opposite commenced. We spent mega $$$ on wine, and well well over $100 on "lovely barfood" but that's all that they offer. But we were getting hungry for something substantial about so we asked if we could bring a couple of pizzas in from the shop 2 doors up. We were refused. So we left at 7pm, collected our pizzas, and spent the rest of our wine $$$ on wine at the theatre which allowed us to bring our pizzas into the foyer and eat them in comfortable surrounds. Such short-sightedness from the bar owner ... and so appreciative that the Westgarth Theatre is so...

Where has this awesome bar been all those years when I lived in Melbourne? And why did I have to discover this wonderful place when I now live 150km away?

A fantastic chilled atmosphere. Where you can relax, pick one of the numerous classic games available (Uno, Connect 4, Guess Who?, Scrabble & many more), play with your friends while having a delicious drink. Oh, the drinks! Any cocktail or mixer is available in their astounding multi page menus! 8 pages of cocktails, 7 pages of Whiskeys, multiple brands of Vodkas, the list goes on and on! Oh my!

Kelvin's used to be one of our favourite haunts on Fri or Sat nights pre-pandemic.

Going back was nostalgic. It still had that atmosphere that made you want to just relax and chill.

The drinks are SUPERB!!! The staff are WONDEFUL!!!

We didn't get to open one of their games. Please do try it when you visit and you in a small group.
