Please update your booking system and confirmation details. And train your staff better. We arrived for our booking (party of 3) on Monday evening to be told that we are required to be gone by 6.45pm. Our booking is only for 1.5hours. After querying that this was not advised at time of booking, the manager stated “its in the confirmation email”. After reviewing the confirmation email again, I informed him, that it is in fact not in the confirmation email. And I was told to email the address at the bottom of the confirmation email to complain, that email address goes direct to management. This all ate up the first 10min of our booking.
We then had to wait a further 10min for a glass of wine to arrive, even though there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant and two waitresses were standing behind the reception counter. We queried with one waitress and was informed its on its way. (Given we are under a time constraint you would expect prompt service). It became obvious that the waitresses were waiting for the manger to pour the wine, and he was at the front reception training/inducting a new starter!
As it was a rainy evening and one of our party was running a little late, as she was stuck in traffic, so we had to call her and read the menu out over the phone so we could place an order on her behalf as we were continuously informed by the wait staff we had to be out by 6.45pm! We get it, you’ve told us numerous times now.
We were told the “early bookings” are always only for 1.5hrs the later bookings are for 2 hours. Again, information that would have been important to communicate at the time of booking. Our friend arrived and the food arrived, whilst the staff watched us eat and then came over again to inform us we need to be out at 6.45pm. Completely interrupting our catch up.
Again at 6.30 we were told we need to be out at 6.45. The poor waitress was clearly timid to have to come and tell us. The wait staff then started clearing the table when we all haven’t finished (still 10min before we needed to vacate) and attempted to take the wine glass that still had wine in it.
I personally did not have time to finish the entire pizza so left it, the other guests raced to finish their meals. We vacated the table at 6.44pm!
This was the most uncomfortable, rushed and non-enjoyable evening out I’ve ever experienced. The only reason we stayed was because it was a Monday evening and the majority of the venues in the area were closed, otherwise we would have walked out in the first 15min!
Apathetic staff who are clearly not interested in being there and disgruntled with management. With such lack lustre service 1.5hour booking is a challenge to eat a meal. There was certainly no time for dessert. We will not be returning or recommending the restaurant, however from the experience management couldn’t care less and this review will fall on deaf...
Read moreSensational. Brilliant service, beautiful food, delicious wine and wonderful desert. 10/10 do recommend. We will be back. - This was 4 months ago, in 2019. was 5/5
Updated review since latest visit 2/5. Primo used to be our favorite. We have been 4-5 times and each time it was sensational, our favorite. Until our first visit this year. We were seated in the window, however waited 15 minutes to order drinks, by this stage we also just ordered food straight away. Food came out about 30 minutes later. The quality has dropped. Seafood pasta was nowhere near as good as it was in the past. Produce didn't taste as fresh and prawn tails left on - why? The white guy pizza (4cheese) was overloaded with cheese and could barely taste the caramelized onions. The addition of parmesan on top also makes this dish not vegetarian. We ate our meal, not once where we checked on to see how our meals where. During this time the table behind us waited 50 minutes for their meal, the table beside us 40 minutes and when it arrived, it was the wrong dish. We waited an hour from when our meals where served to be cleared and to pay. We decided against desert over fears we would be there another 3 hours. In the end we got up from our table - Still not cleared - and paid. Massively disappointed. There was nowhere near enough staff for a Friday night, let alone Valentine's day. Take aways and uber eats were flying out the door while patrons in the restaurant were treated as an after thought. I would comment on the service, truth be told there wasn't any to even comment on, that's how poor it was. We will give Primo another chance, given how much we previously loved it, but it will only be one...
Read moreI can't explain how horrible this place is in words.
People out the back of the store in the alleyway smoking weed by the store entrance, ordered the calamari and prawns, instead they must have thought I was a dog because the take away container was full of uncooked calamari and cut off shrimp heads on a bed of soggy, warm rocket.... $14 for that... really guys, it's 2021.
Edit: after seeing your response, clearly your business is in denial, people were standing at the back of your store in the alleyway with the store door open with people coming in and out to smoke...
Saying the calamari and prawns aren't done takeaway because they need to be eaten straight away isn't an excuse for filling a cardboard box full of raw calamari and only the heads of the shrimp, who TF eats crunchy shrimp heads, that's not what was written down for sale... you sold them to me for takeaway, I live 2 doors down, the food was eaten immediately, I just had no interested in eating in your establishment from the drug use clearly going on.
Take responsibility, if the food wasn't meant to be like that then you have an employee who thinks it's funny to serve garbage to people and steal their money, the customer is always right is a state of mind in hospitality, based on your reply, you think all I am is a liar, someone call Ramsay, maybe he can scream reality into your heads.
Absolutely disgusting, if I see or smell drug use going on again at your store, I will call the...
