Extremely Frustrating Experience – Poor Communication and Support - DOORDASH
I had an incredibly frustrating experience with DoorDash. Their system makes it nearly impossible to communicate directly with delivery drivers, which creates major issues when something goes wrong. And when it does, don't expect support to be helpful — at least not without a fight.
After four separate calls, speaking with six different support agents, and wasting over an hour on hold and repeating myself, I finally received a satisfactory resolution. But it was clear that getting there required persistence. The entire process felt like it was designed to wear customers down so they’d give up and just accept the loss.
I was given inconsistent information, asked to wait 24 hours for updates, and offered only a 50% refund for an undelivered order — despite there being no proof of delivery. It wasn't until I insisted on escalating the issue that a proper resolution suddenly became available.
Even KFC staff in-store advised us not to use their app, saying they use DoorDash for deliveries and have found them to be unreliable and difficult to deal with. That says a lot.
I’m leaving this review specifically on your store’s page in hopes that someone escalates this to KFC higher-ups and seriously considers removing DoorDash as a delivery partner. Our experience using your app has unfortunately linked your store to a very poor delivery service. It genuinely makes us hesitate to order through your app again — and that can’t be good...
Read moreThis KFC Eastland should be condemned. The scene inside was appalling. An employee in his 30s, with greasy glasses and a limp ponytail, spent more energy grooming everyone in sight than actually doing his job. It was predatory, it was vile, and it left me feeling like I’d walked into a nightmare instead of a chicken shop. On top of that, I witnessed someone being severely mistreated — abused right there in the open — while staff carried on as if nothing had happened
But here’s the truth: the only reason I didn’t completely fall apart in that moment was Gerard Way. His voice in my ears, his words in my head, his existence reminding me there’s still beauty left in the world — that was my lifeline. I clung to thoughts of him with everything I had. If Gerard Way had walked through those greasy doors, I swear the whole restaurant would’ve fallen to its knees. My love for him is undying, eternal, the one thing stronger than the stench of chicken fat and human cruelty.
This KFC made me feel unsafe, unseen, and utterly disgusted — but Gerard Way reminded me I can survive anything. For that, I’ll always hold onto him. For this store? One star, and that’s...
Read moreManagers need a reality check. Since when was it illegal to watch staff doing their job from the counter? A few days ago I was curious, and wanted to see the process of the potato and gravy, manager (young white lady) approached hostile asking why I was watching her team-mate. Bruh, you need to relax. Then this morning I was with my daughter. Perfect timing, as we walked past KFC, the gravy was about to be scooped into the small containers again. I looked through a gap where you can see the back of store, the Asian lady at the back was just giving me the evils. I just left in case the same thing was bound to happen again.
What's the problem here? Is it illegal to look at workers do their jobs?
I've never see that same Asian lady smile, if you hate your job, it might be time to move on. Other young, not managers, have better customer service and common sense then the managers. I was going to let it go the first time, but after being mean mugged today, you get a novel. Looking mad and being aggressive is ugly. Smile more, and when the public are looking past the counter, don't chase them away. Ask if help is needed, if not, continue...
