The moment I walked through the doors of this KFC, I was completely blown away. I was hit by a calming scent of the fragrantly fried chicken as the breeze of the front door brushed against my shoulders. A well dressed waiter sat me down and introduced me to their gourmet menu which consisted of a range of fried products, sauces, and drinks. After half an hour of strong hard consideration, I finally settled with the national favorite Zinger Box. The moment I put the menu down, the waiter appeared at my table in an instant; not hesitating to deliver my food with the utmost care. As I opened the carefully articulated container, my eyes caught the bright golden chips, fried picture perfect. I then diverged my eyes towards the meticulously put together chicken burger, which instantly made my mouth water. The gravy was situated in a cylindrical container, sitting atop the creamy mashed potatoes. It was a perfect contrast of brown and beige, which brought not just water to my mouth but tears to my eyes. Once I was ready to take my first bite of the crispy chips, Gordan Ramsay greeted me with a bright smile. During the moment, I almost passed out. I couldn't believe internationally renowned chef Gordan Ramsay was here to experience the miracles of Moonee Ponds KFC. After a short conversation with chef Ramsay, he finally left me uninterrupted to enjoy the food. I pick up the glassy fries and sunk my teeth into them. I couldn't believe it. The fries were so crispy that it shattered the instant I bit into it. I then moved onto the burger, with my expectations set very high. I take a big bite of the famous Zinger Burger, and tears rolled down my eyes like butterflies dancing in the cool spring breeze. The juice was uncontrollably went everywhere as I finish my bite. This shattered my expectations and set the bar even greater than it was before. I paired the gravy with both portions of the food I was served and it simply enhanced the flavor while adding a smooth mouth feel. When i entered the store i was having a bad day, terrible if i'm to be honest. But that was all to change when i was greeted by the warm embrace of someone i would proudly label the best employee there. Scarlett Bella Bibby. She could notice immediately after those sensor doors slid open, that something was dulling my sparkle. Ms Bibby then proceeded to leap over the counter, with pure grace and elegance, to my comfort. Rocking me back and forth on the kfc floors, like a mother cradling their new born child, until my pain was eased. She then scurried to fetch me all the chicken in store that she could get her greasy little hands on and covered herself head to toe in it, until she looked like a chicken herself, continuing on to perform a personal monologue for me about climate change. It not only completely opened my eyes to our delicate earths current reality, but it filled my body with the most euphoric sensation i have ever experienced. And that was when i realised. My depression had been cured. After this amazing act of artistic genius Scarlett continued on to launch my body into the stores deep freezer, and lock me there until every inch of my being was consumed with pure numbness, and i knew i would never be able to feel pain again. As i emerged from the freezer with a new sense of life, Ms Bibby went on to serenade me with her youtube famous, hot chocolate dance. When i turned to exit the store, Scarlett insisted on wheeling me out in the deep fryer to ensure i got the full experience. A day i will never forget. I owe my thanks to this store. No-one eats chicken drumsticks in our household, so each time I order, I ask staff if they can swap the drumsticks for any other piece (even wings or thighs) and sometimes they refuse, and sometimes they agree, but on the occasions when they have agreed, its usually been a lie!! Out of my last 10 visits when they agreed to swap the drumsticks for any other piece, they have only complied twice....We cannot afford to buy takeaway often, so its a special treat when we do, and we ask to swap the drumsticks for any other piece because they dont get eaten and we cant afford to waste food/money, so when we get home after ordering to find 11 drumsticks out of 24 pieces, its disappointing and frankly makes me angry and upset because it means we wont have enough pieces to share because we dont eat the drumsticks so they end up being stripped of bones and the stripped meat given to the dog. I have attempted in the past to rectify the issue by driving back to ask why, and on one occasion, a manager kindly redid my order correctly but I suspect it was because there were many other customers present. But after getting 11 drumsticks in a 24 piece bucket, I would rather spend our money elsewhere as they must think its funny to add more rather than less. I hope the staff who did that to us never struggle financially because when you are struggling, spending money on takeaway is an extravagance and I dont believe our request was unreasonable. Once a staff member advised that they must put at least 3 drumsticks for every 10 piece pack....But when you buy a chicken and cut it into 10 pieces, how many drumsticks...
