Olivia Spring Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

I visited this cafe based on good Google reviews. However it turned out to be a disappointing experience.

Food: there’s only vegetarian options which I didn’t expect. We ordered the pho and broken rice, they were tasty but both my kid and myself had stomach discomfort after the meal, followed by bad diarrhoea for few days. This cafe does not have a toilet, when I asked if there’s a place to wash hands, I was offered the hand sanitizer instead.

Service: Invoice was not issued upon payment and the cashier struggled to generate an incorrectly itemised invoice upon request.

Atmosphere: The place is nicely decorated with books and magazines for customers to read but very crowded with tables right next to each other and we struggled to fit in a baby high chair.

I strongly recommend the restaurant to improve its hygiene conditions as this is my first time had diarrhoea after dining in a restaurant...

It was such a beautiful sunny winters day and the sun was hitting the outside tables perfectly so we decided to stop by for a hot drink and cake. I'm glad we did, the Chai latte and Mocha tasted amazing and we shared a tasty raspberry muffin between the two of us. The outside table was able to fit the electric wheelchair well without it being too squishy or in the way of people walking by. To go inside is a slight step and I'm a bit unsure how much room there would be inside for the wheelchair but it was just perfect outside for us. Come and discover this cafe before it becomes super popular!!! So I never ever write reviews..... but this place is amazing! Tuan (the cafe owner) is a such a kind man, the staff are so helpful, the food is incredible and you won't even notice that it's vegan. It's honestly one of the best cafes ive ever been to in my life, with a relaxed atmosphere and a great selection of vietnamese and non-vietnamese food. Highly recommend 10/10.
