King Bean Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

I recently visited a cafe that I would describe as having decent prices, decent food, and decent service. Overall, I had a good experience there.

First, let me start with the prices. The cafe offered a wide variety of food and drink options, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that most of them were reasonably priced. I didn't feel like I was breaking the bank by ordering a meal and a drink, which is always a plus.

When it came to the food, I would say that it was decent. The menu wasn't particularly adventurous, but the dishes I tried were tasty enough. I had the eggs benedict, and it was satisfying. I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to eat there again, but I wouldn't hesitate to stop by if I was in the area and needed a quick bite.

Finally, the service was also decent. The staff were friendly and my order was prepared quickly. I didn't have any issues or complaints in that regard.

All in all, I would recommend this cafe if you're looking for a casual spot to grab a bite to eat. The prices are fair, the food is decent, and the service is good enough to make you feel welcome. This place is terrible. Was a gorgeous cafe until it changed owners. Now orders take forever, things are missed. Today there was nothing else open so we went back. The kids hot chocolates were boiling hot, and the staff said their turmeric latte was really good but it was just beyond bitter. It was awful. I told them, and they told me they’re not for everyone. I make them at home, I’ve had them out. This was a mouthful of dirt. Unpalatable. So they got me a hot chocolate- and charged me for both. Staff can be rude, but they miss things. I visit King Bean with my 96 year old mum most Sundays. Andrew and Anna are delightful and nothing is too much trouble for them, they’re always smiling and so friendly. The food is great! We love their egg and bacon toasted sandwiches (with lots of sauce) and today I had a vanilla slice for the first time … OMG it was fabulous! If you want the best coffee in town, go here. Lots of free parking is available and their toilets are spotlessly clean.
