I recently dined at La Porchetta Cranbourne, and I must say, it's a popular spot for Italian food lovers! The atmosphere is bustling, especially in the evenings, so it's highly recommended to book early to secure a table.
Ambiance: The restaurant has a cozy and intimate atmosphere, with dim lighting and traditional Italian decor. However, the busy evening crowd can make it feel a bit noisy and chaotic.
Customer Service: The staff at La Porchetta Cranbourne were friendly and attentive, but not overly exceptional. They were efficient in taking orders and delivering food, but didn't go above and beyond to provide outstanding service.
Food: I ordered the Prawn Pizza (medium size only, priced at $30) and the Penne Mushroom Pasta ($25). The waiting time was around half an hour, which was reasonable considering the busy atmosphere.
The Prawn Pizza was delicious, with a generous topping of succulent prawns, mozzarella cheese, and a flavorful sauce. The crust was crispy and cooked to perfection.
The Penne Mushroom Pasta was also impressive, with al dente penne pasta tossed in a rich and creamy mushroom sauce. The portion size was generous, and the dish was satisfying and filling.
Other Menu Options: La Porchetta Cranbourne offers an extensive menu featuring a range of Italian classics, including:
Wood-fired pizzas Pastas Risottos Meat and seafood dishes Vegetarian and vegan options Desserts
Drinks: The restaurant has a well-stocked bar, offering a selection of wines, beers, and cocktails.
Price Range: La Porchetta Cranbourne is moderately priced, with most dishes falling in the $20-$40 range.
Overall Experience: While La Porchetta Cranbourne may not offer exceptional customer service, the food is undoubtedly the highlight of this Italian restaurant. With a wide range of delicious dishes and a cozy atmosphere, it's a great spot for a night out with family or friends. Just be sure to book early to avoid the crowds!
Recommendation: If you're a fan of Italian food, La Porchetta Cranbourne is definitely worth a visit. Try to arrive early to avoid the evening rush, and be prepared for a lively and...
Read moreI'm not sure who served and the staff of those that did a good review. That certainly was not our experience. The concierge who greeted was just way below standard in her service and attitude and seemed judgemental of who comes in. My brother booked today for a family lunch for an early Mother's day lunch. My other brother and his wife were turned away because the name they mentioned did not booked and they waited who knows how long until my own family arrived. Meanwhile my parents and the brother that booked and his family were already inside. She did not even apologise she just laughed off as she guided us to the table where my family were waving. Most food ordered were good except for the risotto. I remember risotto being a long or fat - looking rice- not regular. The other comments on drinks were true, way over- priced. Upon paying my brother and I approached the counter but there were three sections. One staff pointed to the end part and we moved there only to be diverted to the unfriendly lady - with short- slicked peroxide hair-trying to be blonde -in the beginning and laughed again - disrespectfully as she pointed into the middle section of the counter and pointed up on the sign as she sarcastically laughed again- basically highlighting our dumbness not to have noticed the signs. Who looks at these in the restaurants. Staff are there to assist politely and with smiles- none of that occurred inside. It seemed none of them wanted to be there. Very disappointing experience considering we spent almost $500. I don't think i will ever go back to this place...great attitude and having friendly staff is what makes the experiences of customers wanting to go back and recommend to others- despite the good food. In fact , even if the food is average, customers will come back with great...
Read moreBeyond disappointed. Visited for my birthday on Friday, had such high expectations as Narre Warren La Porchetta is beautiful, but I was left annoyed and disappointed. Service was slow. The lady taking our order looked like she hated her job and didn’t want to be there. She was blunt and took forever to take the order. I ordered the chicken caesar salad, minus the anchovies and asked to have my egg hard poached. As the meals were coming out, a lady told me they can’t do the yoke hard. I responded “you can’t cook it a bit longer?” She then turned to a guy and then said “no as the eggs are precooked”. Now I work in a restaurant, I’m well aware eggs often come pre cooked, but it makes me wonder how they are warming up my egg for them to not be able to make the yoke hard. Microwave? Cook it longer. Pot of water? Leave it in a little longer. What should have been okay and an easy thing to do, I was told it wasn’t able to be done, so I said leave it off. I got the salad and it was honestly disgusting. There was no love, just a slapped together salad with horrible dressing. Now at most places someone comes around to check how everything is going, not once did someone meal check our table. How are you meant to know how your restaurant and food is going?. So I was unable to let them know I wasn’t happy with my meal and nor did someone ask me when they took it away. After meals, my brother got a chocolate dessert where the same lady who said I couldn’t have a hard poached egg delivered it to the table and thought it was acceptable to then lean on the table. What resturant worker and by the looks of it a supervisor does that? Poor service and just disrespectful. I won’t be returning there again and will not be recommending them to any of my friends or family. The highlight of my night there...
