Last night 31st July (as we came out of the 5.0 lockdown, Victoria) we booked a table of four for 6.30pm. Ordered the entrée while waiting for the mains rock at the table 1hr later . We have been to Lam Lam 2 so many times, the food is always amazing and this is the reason why we booked, to celebrate my husband’s birthday since we were in lockdown. It turned to be a very bad experience when the waitress came to us and said we only have 45mins, hang on mains came after 1hr and now we are being pushed to leave as we are only half way through. She was so rude and the queue outside was getting longer. From what we could gather it’s not about Customer Service anymore it’s more about the $$$. We were so disappointed as we tried to support our local restaurant, we won’t be going there again and if you are reading be mindful of the situation you can find yourself. You don’t want to be upset and paying to be treated as s**t, it’s shame on Lam Lam2!!! POOR...
Read moreI eat out frequently and have covered a decent amount of restaurants in Melbourne. I've had my share of both good and bad dishes, I've never had a meal so sad that I felt compelled to raise it with staff—until now.
Recently, a friend and I visited this place and ordered the wontons. The wonton shells were incredibly hard, and the filling was tasteless and cold. After some deliberation, we decided to inform the staff, for either a replacement dish or if anything, constructive criticism. I was polite as possible about it. The response was wild. The staff member was aggressive and defensive, showing no interest in our feedback, pretty much 'idc'. There was no offer to replace the dish, no apology—nothing.
I’ve frequented this place a few times out of convenience, but honestly, the food has always been depressing. This recent experience was the last straw. In my opinion, this restaurant has been overrated for...
Read moreI am long time customer and currently heavily pregnant woman who needed to use the restroom - my partner was waiting for me outside as we were going to grab a table outdoors afterwards. I didn't get a chance to speak and I was rudely interrupted by one of the staff asking me to buy something and redirecting me to the fridge. Immediately changing my mind upon eating here at the rude and demanding behaviour, I responded with 'that's not a problem' and proceeded to walk to the bathroom.
When I emerged, I walked to the fridge to buy something and I am not even sure what was going on with one staff in particular but her behaviour towards me was utterly disgusting and not at all what the local Northcote community stands for. I was not going to be treated that way and pay on top of it, so I walked away. I understand times must be tough but that is no way to treat people for a little money. Lost me and my family...
