Title: A Taste of France in the Heart of Camberwell
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Laurent Bakery on Burke Road in Camberwell is a true gem, offering a delightful taste of French cuisine in the heart of Melbourne. From the moment you step into the bakery, you are transported to a charming Parisian patisserie, with its warm ambiance and tantalizing aromas of freshly baked bread and pastries.
The display cases are overflowing with an array of tempting treats, from delicate croissants and pain au chocolat to rustic sourdough loaves and decadent cakes. Each item is crafted with meticulous attention to detail, using only the finest ingredients and traditional French techniques.
I recently indulged in a flaky croissant and a rich pain au chocolat, both of which were perfectly executed. The croissant was buttery and light as air, while the pain au chocolat was oozing with decadent chocolate filling. I also sampled a slice of their signature tarte Tatin, which was perfectly caramelized and bursting with apple flavor.
In addition to its delectable pastries, Laurent Bakery also offers a range of savory options, including sandwiches, quiches, and salads. I opted for the Croque Monsieur, a classic French sandwich filled with ham, cheese, and bechamel sauce. The sandwich was grilled to perfection, with a crispy exterior and a gooey, cheesy interior.
The staff at Laurent Bakery is friendly and knowledgeable, always eager to share their passion for French cuisine. They are attentive to customer needs and make sure that every visit is a delightful experience.
Whether you are seeking a quick breakfast bite, a decadent afternoon treat, or a leisurely lunch, Laurent Bakery is the perfect destination. With its authentic French flavors, charming atmosphere, and excellent service, it is no wonder that this bakery has become a beloved fixture in the...
Read moreThis cafe has one of the worst cafes that I've experieced.
Their coffee quality is not good.
But, I like taste of bread from that shop.
One day, It must be on Sunday after 1pm.
I went there to buy some breads.
At that time, They didn't have many customers.
The one customer before me had trouble with checking out.
I waited at first.
Their staff didn't care about me and worked so slowly.
But, I didn't know how long I had to wait until their staff solved problem.
I was tired and wanted to leave.
I didn't know whether I stayed or left.
I looked at their staff who helped me. I wanted her to know that I was there waitting for order and check out.
She looked back at me with very ugly eyes and rude attitude.
It was in shock for me.
There were a few staff around there.
I didn't care next custom
They are too bossy.
Their coffee taste is not good as well.
Usually, Most of other cafes that I have been to, They let customers know that they have trouble checking out and apologise for long waiting for next customers.
I don't mind of waiting once they let me know whether their eftpos had problem and many customers that I have
I do cared about next customers. rying to slove their problem as soon as possibe.
Their staff looked at me very ugly eyes when I looked at her to let her know that I wanted to check out and still waitting.
Other staff didn't care how long I had to wait for check out.
The Whole group of their staff's attitude and service are so slow, lazy, rude and bossy and have poor customer service.
I won't go there regardless of the taste of breads.
I don't want to have breads from this shop.

Read moreI have been Laurent Bakery so many times the best service comes from Toorak and South Yarra store
Here at Camberwell? You tell me.
Today I ordered a Almond Croissant toasted eating in and a large FW in a takeaway cup An olive bread takeaway
For somehow the staff who took the order made it all takeaway without confirming order with me as well
Happening following the staff shouting -Large FW takeaway please -Almond Croissant takeaway please
I am not sure if that is mine or not so I double confirmed with another staff coz the croissant I would have it here. I was told it was mine so I asked her to put it in a plate so I can have it here, she is not happy to put it in the plate and serve Then I ask another staff/male to ask if that takeaway FW he told me it was a takeaway FW meaning it is mine then he took the table number and questioned me if I got the olive bread
I am not comfortable with such conversation I asked to talk to the store manager During the store manager was told I would like to talk her the staff who questioned me used the number to point me and my direction
Turns out the store manager did not do her job properly as well She told me she will train the staff and sometimes it happen the staffs got confused etc etc Each words she was saying was finding excuses
They do not know how the service industry works and they do not respect customers
I have been Toorak store for so many times with order eating in and coffee in takeaway cup never happens once
I won’t recommend this store any more However the brand did nothing wrong just the people you are dealing with in this store
If I can give ZERO start I would not hesitate to do so coz such service they provide definitely...
