Lennox St Deli in Moonee Ponds is a new kid on the block and in our view is making a mark in the deli scene. The establishment exudes charm, with an inviting atmosphere introduced by the wonderful owners who are genuinely hospitable. Their chicken schnitzel focaccia is exceptional, a must-try, bursting with flavor. Equally impressive is the lox bagel, generously stacked to ensure every bite is packed with a delightful mix of textures and tastes.
Both sandwiches offer a delightful mouthwatering experience, making the decision to return an easy one. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Lennox St Deli delivers as promised. Highly recommended!
Feb 2 2025 edit: Second visit, and it just keeps getting better! This time, we went for the meatball sub in crunchy ciabatta and the pork focaccia, and wow these sandwiches are leagues above the rest. Weāve tried many of Melbourneās top delis, but Lennox St Deli is in a class of its own.
Portions? Massive. Flavour? Explosive. Service? On point.
Homemade meatballs, perfectly roasted pork, ultra-fresh bread, and fillings that hit hard. This is the kind of feed that keeps you coming back. If you havenāt been, get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLennox Deli is tucked away in a pretty cool neighbourhood and serves up a solid sandwich. I tried both the Cottoletta and the Lennox Deliāboth were good, but not mind-blowing. The standout for sure was the size of that chicken schnitzel in the Cottoletta. Massive, juicy, and had a nice crunch to it. There were a few dry spots, but honestly, with a piece that big, thatās kinda expected and didnāt take away from the overall experience.
I personally enjoyed the Lennox Deli sandwich moreāfelt fresher thanks to the crisp lettuce which balanced the whole thing out nicely. Price-wise, both were around the $20 mark or just under, but theyāre big. I was full after just half of each.
The bread held up really well tooāno soggy mess, just solid, good-quality stuff that soaked up the juices and oil without falling apart. Overall, itās a good sandwich spot. It might not hit that āmemorableā level, but itās definitely a reliable pick when you want something tasty and satisfying. A "you know what youāre gonna get" kind of placeāin...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf you want the good stuff go in the morning, they run out of ingredients throughout the day but won't tell you when they're making your food. You'll end up paying quite a lot of basic food that you could make at home quite easily.
This cafe needs more communication in this aspect. I really don't like paying and waiting and receiving food that tastes completely different than what I've been ordering for months. This cafe is a on the pricey side too so I feel like this isn't very nice to do to paying customers.
Please communicate when youve run out ingredients.
edit: changing my 2 star review to a one star review. the people who run this cafe are completely incapable of receiving any negative feedback, after looking thru all of their reviews the responses to any review under 5 stars is highly passive aggressive and just strange....
