Leon's Cafe & Take Away — Restaurant in Melbourne

This was a surprise find! We were undecided between this shop and the cafe next door, both had good reviews and the other had more tradies walking into it. We decided on this place after reading that it had good banh mi.

The place is only small, maybe three 2 seater tables. The menu is small too, hot food and banh mi, no cakes or pastries, but then again we came at 2pm so maybe it sold out.

The pork banh mi was only $9 and so good! The Vietnamese ice coffee was sweet and strong, love it! There was also rice with dishes in containers, I had the rice with curry chicken, only $8. Such a good value for money and it was really tasty.

I took away four containers of food with rice and satay chicken, curry chicken, honey chicken and sweet sour pork. They gave me a deal, all four for $30 so generous!

The two ladies there were so friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely eat here if I'm ever at...

Stumbled across this shop 4:30am one morning and thought I’d give it a go. Was surprised to see they had roast pork with crackle already cooked and ready for “banh mi” so I thought I’d try one… very surprised as it was full of flavour in a fresh crispy roll. Three years later I’m still going there and always having something fresh and tasty… the salt and pepper fish is very tasty and I was surprised as it was Basa they use and generally not a fan of it. The crispy chicken fillets is absolutely to die for and always having one just on its own or sometimes in a roll. Staff is very friendly and always happy to go that little bit further for you… always looking forward to my roll there first thing in the morning as they are always fresh with...

Bought a iced mocha. The price on the display menu was clearly written in bold letters as $6. After ordering when I asked to pay they charged $7.50 and couldn't say no as the drink was already made.
