A place that has been on my to-try list for so long and this evening we finally had a chance to give it a go. Leonard’s House of Love eager to please. Tonight we ordered the Double Cheeseburger, Blue Cheeseburger, Hot Glazed Tenders and Poutine Fries which came out to a total of $70~ with Approx. 25min wait time from ordering to receiving our food. The order came out nice and fresh which we were pleased to see. The hot glazed tenders was great, lightly coated with a spicy glaze it gave a nice kick. The only problem would be the chewy texture, the batter felt too layered giving it less of a crispy crunch and more of a soft chew. It was still as juicy and tender so can’t complain. The poutine fries on the other hand was cooked well. The fries were nice and crisp and the gravy was well seasoned. It only lacked in consistency but was great overall. Now to the main part. The Double Cheeseburger was the most anticipated dish to come out and it did not disappoint. Structured well the first bite was quite the symphony. From the soft bun to gooey melted cheese meeting the seared meat patties my eyes lit up. Literally. A well seasoned taste, it was a well balanced burger not giving too much of the meaty taste but was also not too over seasoned. It does lose some points though, the burger misses on acidity, definitely needs something to accentuate the taste of the meat. Although the burger itself was great the addition of the Blue Cheese for myself was bit to overpowering. I’ve tried many Blue Cheese items before but this time it was a little bit too overwhelming, the strong pungent taste quickly took over the flavours of the burger and steered it onto a different course. Maybe an addition of tartness could help. (If you’re a blue cheese fan it still is worth the try!) Overall this restaurant was a good first impression. The immediate greeting of cheer and great service even whilst being so busy was already enough to start with and to end it with good food I think it’s deserves a rating. Hope to be back soon!

Leonard's is a '70s-inspired log cabin and bar, complete with lounge room and pool table. A retro house-turned-bar specialising in burgers, fried chicken & sides. Our second time here and being with friends we got to taste quite a few dishes. 📸 Dishes presented: 🍴 Fried Popcorn Chicken 🍴 Jalapeño Poppers 🍴 Hot Chicken Burgers 🍴 Southside Fried Chicken Burger 🍴 Cheeseburger 🍴 Double Cheeseburger 🍴 Rodeo Burger 🍴 Mac & Cheese 🍴 Iceberg Salad 🍴 Fries 🐥 Popcorn chicken had moist chicken bites coated in a crunchy batter. Jalapeño poppers were crunchy also and the cream cheese filling was a nice touch. 🐔 Fried Chicken burger patties were crispy and succulent and the bun was soft. We preferred the Southside Fried Chicken Burger over the Hot Chicken Burger as the XXX habanero on the hot chicken was just too overpowering. 🍔 The Cheeseburger we had was on our first visit was one of tastiest cheeseburger we’ve had. We could hardly fault it. The second time around we ordered Double Cheeseburger & Rodeo Burger, the beef patties were tender and as good as the first time we ate here. But the Double Cheeseburger was too saucy, unfortunately all that extra sauce was masking the flavour of the delicious beef patty. The Rodeo Burger was decadent and a bit too sweet, perhaps omitting the onion jam might have helped balance out the sweetness. 🍟 Fries were crispy and it paired very well with the amazing gravy sauce. The XXX Glaze sauce tasted a little sweet and smokey but it had a bitter taste also which we didn’t enjoy. We also tried: Mac & Cheese 🧀 🫕 Iceberg Salad 🥗 Definitely not the best mac & cheese we had. It had a floury taste and slightly under seasoned and the dressing on the iceberg salad was well balanced, but a little pricey for what it was. Great venue and atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff. Finn bites dining experience 4.2/5 ⭐️ $$ 💵

My wife's brother took us here for dinner. Now I'm not a vegetarian, but whenever I go to a place that has a veggie burger on the menu I tend to order it. The reason for this is cause wherever I have been, if that burger is good, then everything else on the menu tends to be great. The reason I say this is because everywhere I have tried the vegetable burger, I go back and everything else is also amazing. But if that is not good, then everything else will be at best, mediocre. Well this was probably the best veggie burger I've had. My wife had a spicy chicken burger which she really enjoyed (same as my brother in law) and we also tried tater tots, poutine fries and jalapeno poppers. Everything eat great and I would definitely tell people to go try this place out. The only 2 things to mention is that it's very loud so it will be hard to have a conversation with friends, and that if it had rained before, avoid sitting at outside tables like we did add you will find slugs on the table or the wall and discover that they actually move pretty fast :p not to mention one was at the side of my cup and I discovered it as I went to drink. Fortunately this was at the end of my meal or it would have really ruined everything. So seriously avoid sitting outdoors or best the tree, if it has recently rained. If it weren't for these two minor things, id give it 5 stars. I can't really blame the establishment for this (although having some sort of outdoor covering could stop this issue).

● Sep 2023 ● 🌟 🌟🌟 3 Stars We stopped by for a quick lunch. Ordered cheese burger 🍔 and 🔥 hot chicken burger 🍔 with fries 🍟 First of all, we liked the brioche bun which is soft. Cheeseburger was okay. But boy, hot chicken burger was super spicy. Yes, I read the menu that said habanero chilli 🌶. I'm Thai who like spicy food and handle the heat quite well. However, I didn't expect this hot chicken to be this mouth burning and eye watering hot. I didn't think burger could be this hot. The wait staff said it's hot when she served me the burger. First bite and my mouth was burning. I couldn't finish it because it's overpowering and I barely tasted the chicken. Also, it's very oily, I assume it's chilli oil which was dripping all over and I need to wash twice with soap because it's oily and very spicy. Fries 🍟 were good, crunchy. The atmosphere wasn't good as we felt it was very smokey and I can smell the cigarette from outdoor seating. Small note, we were asked at the counter when ordering and paying what sauce to come with fried and I said tomato sauce is fine. When served, no sauce but the waitress asked if we want any sauce with it. Not too big of a deal but it shows that the order wasn't paid attention to. However, waitress still asked which is good service. Hence, 3 stars for overall. Will we come back? I'm afraid not. Thank you.

Initially, I found the burger to be very saucy with the first few bites. However, as I continued eating, the meat balanced out the sauce, allowing me to truly appreciate the seasoning and flavors of the burger. I ordered the double patty with added bacon, and I would give it a five-star rating. It had everything you want in a burger. The chicken tenders were a good protein option, but I found the batter to be extremely crispy—almost too hard. That said, the chicken was perfectly cooked on the inside and had a nice, white appearance. I expected the texture to be less juicy since tenders tend to be a leaner cut of chicken. The dipping sauces were excellent, especially the chipotle mayo, which was great for both the chicken and chips. I opted for the poutine chips, which were a traditional Canadian style with generous portions of cheese curds. I really appreciated the amount of curds included. The service was exceptional, and the staff went out of their way to provide great recommendations. Although the prices were on the higher side, many burger shops are closing down lately, so I'm happy to support a business that offers delicious burgers.

One of the best cheese burgers I've had in a loooong while.. most are forgettable I mean there's good and then there's reeeeeal good!! So good that you are planning the next visit after you've just gobbled it down! Without touching the chips!!! Yupz thus was my experience at Leonard's ... ordered the double cheeseburger! The patties were juicy and cooked medium rare with chargrilled bits on the edges! Not salty. I mean it was simply Burger heaven perfection yum!! it's your greasy type with a brioche that was not heavy and managed to hold the whole thing together. The sauce used 'special' was spot on! It's mayo based and once infused with a mouthful of everything .. the American cheese the pickle the sauce the patty and the crunchier patty grit ..... wooooah!! Usually by two mouthfuls I'd reach for the chips already in most places.. but not at Leonard's I just couldn't get enough of it. We had the BBQ chicken chips which actually had BBQ chicken breast in it. we weren't interested in it after the burger cus we wanted more burger. Had to begrudgingly finish off the chips. I think if it wasn't there we'd be emoted to order another burger!!!
