Studio Barim — Attraction in Melbourne

The management was good, but my experience with the artist, Hue, was terrible. He was rude, unprofessional, and ruined my design. He only speaks Korean and struggles with English, making communication extremely difficult. On top of that, he was arrogant and never accepted his mistakes.

He rushed through the process and, when confronted about his errors, blamed me instead. The most shocking mistake was when he mirror-inverted the text on the stencil—something I had to catch myself. If I hadn’t noticed, I would have been stuck with incorrect text for life. Even after correcting it, the text turned out blurry, misaligned, and even contained a spelling mistake. Despite clearly explaining that I wanted straight alignment, the final result was a mess.

His attitude was just as bad as his work—completely unprofessional. This was an awful experience, and I’ll now need a cover-up. Think twice before going here. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I got my tattoo this morning from Yorke and it was such a great experience 🫡 The studio was super clean and had a really nice vibe. I brought in a design I wanted, and Yorke nailed the line work — super clean! I was a bit nervous at first but they kept chatting with me the whole time, which really helped me relax 😄 This time I brought my own design, but next time I really want to get one of Yorke’s original color tattoos. Everything was perfect the lines, the timing, the atmosphere, and just the whole experience. Afterwards, I stopped by Prahran Market, had a wander, and grabbed a coffee. And omg, they even did a quick portrait sketch of me at the end so sweet! Literally golden hands 😻 Next time, I’m definitely coming back for a bigger piece! I had the most incredible experience with Yorke Tattoo — this portrait was something truly special. Yorke is not only insanely talented but also made the whole process feel intimate, and deeply personal.

He is clearly painting from a deeper place. This wasn’t about surface details. It was about capturing essence. The portrait feels soul-deep — like he saw through to my energy, warmth, and spirit, and painted that.
