We’ve been long term loyal customers at Little by Little since it first opened over 5 years ago, but we feel it’s gotten a bit stale since coming out of lockdown. The menu hasn’t really changed for a few years. The last time we were there we ordered the chilli scramble croissant and the crispy chicken waffles. The chilli scramble was Luke warm, the eggs had a chilli oil as the chilli component which had no chilli flavour and just made them really oily, and the croissant was soggy. Regarding the crispy chicken waffles, the chicken has progressively become thinner over the years in comparison to when they first came onto the menu as a “special” and my husband said it’s okay but it feels like they’re skimping on it in comparison to what we use to get and the portion size is smaller. It’s always busy and sometimes hard to get service which feels like is due to not enough staff. When we’ve asked for something to add to the meal (eg - sauce) we’ve found that we can expect an extended wait and have ended up finishing my meal by the time it’s come to the table. The car park into little by little is less than ideal with pot holes and the fact that you can’t book a table makes it not very child friendly as it is not always appropriate to have babies outside in the weather whilst waiting for a table. As a result we’ve started going to other cafes within the area where we can have more variety and that allows for table booking which means we can take our baby along with us without having to wait outside...
Read moreWaited at waiting point, didn't take long to get seated, sat down and noticed that silverware was a little dirty. Server was kind and understanding and she got me better silverware, had a few smudges on it but still usable.
I had the Magic Mango drink, taste is very good though needs to be blended with Ice. Water that they server should also have ice.
Vibe in the dining room was very good, great music, good nature vibe, fancy brunch vibe with good lighting and outdoor seating.
Asked for more ice, they gave me ice though it would be better if ice was just blended in. Ice came in a cup with I piece of Paulp from orange juice. I didn't order Orange juice.
Food was great, I had the fried chicken burger which comes with chips and it all just went so well together, good presentation and goes on a burger type board.
My friend had the brisket, isn't on the menu all the time but it was this time, comes with chips, BBQ sauce and salad with nice and fresh looking pickles. Tasted very nice and all went well together on a fork.
Overall, service was very good, give it a 8/10, food was 9/10 and vibe was 10/10, would defentatly reccomend going here for breakfast,...
Read moreSome hits, some misses. Free parking, bit confusing for your first time. Follow the signs to a dirt carpark. Indoor and outdoor seating - however outdoor is also dirt ground. Minor winds created dust storms outside. Inside seating with AC, music not too loud but the place seems unloved, scuff marks, painted light switches and powerpoints, dirty shelves, storage fridges on display, dirty windowsills, sticky tables etc.
Drinks arrived quickly and were very nice. Special mention of the Iced Chai Tea, best I’ve had and in fact ordered 2.
Ordered mushroom bowl both GFO and VGO as offered on their menu. Disappointed that just meant the egg for instance was removed and not replaced or substituted with something else. The bread was substituted with GF and the cheese dressing was substituted with hummus. Good portion and tasty if you are a fan of essentially just mushrooms and hummus.
We were not checked on at all throughout our meal or upsold anything during or after. We had to flag someone down to order a second drink. Water on the table is sitting there when we arrived, very warm.
