Platform 3095 — Restaurant in Melbourne

We have been to this place a couple of times-close to home & we aim to support local businesses. We are a member of the Entertainment Book & decided to utilize the voucher. We ordered our meal, excited about the range if choices. The acoustics inside are horrendous. We were drowned out by a “mothers group gathering” for a birthday & struggled to hear each other. My meal arrived, small in quantity & to add insult, cold! At $30 definitely NOT worth it. The side salad, also tiny was dressed in cheap French dressing! Two meals and two alcoholic drinks our bill came to $90. We went to pay & they say “oh we may have an issue”! In the end they would not honor the Entertainment book voucher as they withdrew from the scheme! Is that our problem??? To us it’s still valid! We challenged it & was told they will look into it for us… funny thing, they didn’t take any of our details?? So how were they going to contact us? Came at 5 on a Saturday for food. They told me the kitchen was opening soon so the food would just take a little longer - appreciated the heads up

Initially sat in the back, but turns out they have a big box of toys there for kids to play. So thats what was going on there. So I moved to the front of the bar where the music was upbeat and too loud for my liking with disco lights going (yes before 6pm)

There was also a group of really rowdy guys there, mostly stayed outside but everytime they came in to get more drinks they were fully yelling their heads off. One of them was dressed as Donald Trump complete with a bloody ear and a maga hat. I think they were giving the bar tender a bit of a difficult shift. One of these guys also made a homophobic comment in the middle of ordering a drink, for who's benefit and for what purpose I can't imagine.

The food is tasty and well prepared. The prices are great and a lot of their menu items are made from scratch by the chefs. It’s essential that patrons feel they’ve had a tasty, enjoyable meal and overall experience and I feel like the staff and owners do a fantastic job to ensure this. The bar has all the popular drinks you could wish for and their cocktails are amazing! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and there is days and nights to suit anyone and everyone. Whether the music is in the background or aimed to fill the dance floor, it’s always on point. The location couldn’t be anymore convenient right next to the train station and there is plenty of parking all around. Management and staff demonstrate really great customer service skills and their priority is that a fabulous time is had by all.
