Little Naples Pizzeria — Restaurant in Melbourne

We've tried most of the pizza shops in Melbourne and Little Naples is where we find ourselves going. I'm so sick of Melbourne traffic and not being able to get car parking in Northcote or Lygon and those hipster suburbs with the fancy pizza joints that spray canola oil on everything and I have to say that the simple things in life are more important like easy car parking, and i LOVE that there is a car park out front, out back or at the library 20m away. This is the most respectful thing a pizza shop can do for your customers, locate it nearby parking options. That and not substituting olive oil for Canola oil which I've found a few joints doing at premium price which is a real slap in the face as we all know the olive oil is where it is at. No canola for life.

I also love that Little Naples stays open longer than the other pizza shops on the Ivanhoe strip as the other ones are closed when we get hungry after a wild Friday night in which is by the way all that we had goingthis Friday night, mostly due to high interest rates, but also due to my wife having a large does of CBF from a crazy property manager job with all that rain and shit house building causing her mazzive headaches constantly and a hyped up 5yo daughter.

Does Little Naples meet it's claim of being the best pizza in the world? Well, it did for our family this Friday night. Tick, tick, tick and wine.

We ordered the prawn pizza and the garlic pizza. It hit the spot. Paired with a really decent Montepulciano D'Abruzzo Amaranta from 2019 no less that I had hanging around only because my wife hadn't been able to extract the cork from the bottle and scull it on the sly last week. One of those situations where it would have been polished off months ago without the cork having broken. Yes, great pizza, great wine.

Simply the best! I couldn’t recommend Little Naples Pizzeria more highly! Andrea hosted the funnest masterclass for 25 of my family and friends on making authentic Napoletana pizza for my hen’s party. He was incredibly professional as he set up everything, brought all the fresh ingredients, served his homemade (and delicious) wine, and even made fresh cannoli on the spot for everyone. Each guest got to take their dough home, and Andrea stayed to make dinner for everyone. Not only was the masterclass super fun/funny, but everyone genuinely enjoyed learning the art of pizza making too. Coming from an Italian family, everyone was raving about how amazing the dough was. I’ve always considered Little Naples Pizzeria's pizza the best, which is why I specifically requested Andrea for this event. I received several photos from family the next night, who had cooked their own dough following Andrea’s instructions, and raved about how great it came out. Just want to say a BIG BIG thank you to Andrea for sending us Riccardo and Giovanni to do our catering for our son's 1st Birthday. My husband being Italian and myself being Greek along with our families we love food! The food and service exceeded all of our expectations, everything was absolutely amazing and delicious! The ingredients were so fresh and all of our guests couldn’t get over how tasty the food was, everyone left very satisfied and happy. They helped to create a very stress free special event for us so thank you very much! We recieved so many compliments and everyone asking where and how I found Little Naples. A huge shoutout to Riccardo & Giovanni, they were amazing and never complained about the hot weather.
