Disappointed with Service and Lack of Communication
We held our engagement party at this restaurant and were left very disappointed with the experience. My partner and I had visited the restaurant beforehand to discuss the per-head pricing and set menu. At the time, we mentioned we’d confirm the final menu later after discussing it further. Unfortunately, with all the engagement preparations, we forgot to send the final menu.
On the day of the event, we ordered based on what we had previously discussed. There was no communication from the staff about how they would be charging us, and no one followed up or informed us that not confirming the menu would affect the pricing or incur additional costs.
Had they simply communicated that the lack of a confirmed menu would mean being charged per item plus for the private room, we would have either finalized the menu or chosen to sit downstairs — especially since the restaurant was quiet that day. Instead, we assumed everything was as initially discussed: a set menu with the private room included.
To make matters worse, we even gave hundreds of dollars in tips during the event, as part of a gesture while upstairs. Yet in the end, we were charged full price for individual items and also for the private room—something that was supposed to be complimentary with a set menu.
The most disappointing part was the lack of responsibility and poor communication from the staff. It felt like we were blamed for their failure to follow up or clarify anything on the day.

Read moreI had enjoyed this restaurant previously, but my last experience was abysmal. I ordered via Menulog, as I had no vehicle available to pick up. I placed my order at approximately 6:35 pm. At the time the estimate on the app was 20-35 minutes. After my order was put through, it was updated to 7:30-7:50. At 7:40 I started to inquiry as NOTHING seemed to be happening with the order - the restaurant does their own deliveries, so I both opened a chat with Menulog and tried to call the restaurant (which didn't answer) Menulog told me that the food would be arriving in approximately 20 minutes, so 8:00, almost 1.5 hours after I had ordered. At 8:10 I enquired again via Menulog to the arrival of my food. The said that the restaurant was just about to send it and that it would arrive by 8:35 - TWO HOURS after ordering. It arrived slightly earlier at 8:25.
After all this including 2 unanswered voice mails - the restaurant refused to provide any compensation. When pressed by Menulog - they finally offer a $10 credit for the "inconvenience". I spent nearly an hour trying to figure out where my food was - which was standard and not particularly good or bad, when it FINALLY arrived. The amount of meat in the butter chicken compared to sauce was very low compared to previous orders as well. No one has tried to contact me to even apologise - though I did leave my phone number on their voice...

The service was lackluster at best. I struggled to get their attention and had to wait far too long for simple requests such as menu. The staff simply seemed too pre occupied with the side event and they didn’t even bother to pay attention to the dine in customers. It took over 10 mins for me to get just the menu. To make the matters worse, the main course took over 45 mins to arrive after the appetisers. I understand that delays can happen, but waiting excessively for my meal to arrive is unacceptable. By the time it finally reached my table, my hunger had turned into frustration.
The chicken tikka masala I ordered was far from satisfactory. The dish lacked any semblance of flavor, and the chicken itself was bland and tasteless. It was evident that little care had been taken in its preparation. I was truly a disappointed.
