I came through the drive thru this morning and ordered 2 big breakfast deals and asked for 4 bacon and egg mcmuffins with the meal. At the pay window the team member pointed at the order screen and held out the EFTPOS machine to pay. I admit that I did not read it and did not double check. We parked after receiving our meal and when i checked the bag it had 4 sausage and egg muffins. I went back inside and spoke to a team member (who was very lovely) and said I asked for 4 bacon and egg but received 4 sausage and egg muffins. She apologised and said they would replace them. Then the patronising, arrogant, and extremely rude manager came out (young, probably late teens early 20s, low slick back blonde bun with pink scrunchy, wearing a black puffer vest) and came up to me without even double checking the order in their till and stated âthis was not a problem from our end we cannot give you a refund because we did nothing wrongâ the team member then stated that i was after a replacement which the manager then said âi cannot just replace it but if you are happy to pay i canâ i said âno. i asked for bacon and egg and received the wrong order and youâve taken the bag away so i canât even keep thatâ (at the time she had not checked their system and had no idea what the order was). She then proceeded to find the order whilst rudely asking âwhen did you come inâ and i answered â5 minutes agoâ. The order said 4 sausage and egg mcmuffins. Thats fine, I can admit when i am wrong, but this manager was so rude and unaccommodating and did not even mention that it may have been their mistake putting in the wrong âburgersâ. She reluctantly allowed a replacement while condescendingly stating âthereâs actually a little screen at the pay window where you can check your order so maybe actually check it next timeâ. I then proceeded to wait 15 minutes for my replacement. This manager was a rude, entitled, arrogant, condescending person and I hope you do better to train your managers about customer service and customer satisfaction. I am not usually one to complain, and this scenario is exactly why. I worked as a manager at a different fast food chain and I could never dream of being as rude and unpleasant as...
Read moreThis review is not just for our experience today. It is for the many bad experiences we've had over the 5 years we've lived in the area. The only reason I've bothered to write a review is I see a light at the end of the tunnel in the form of another McDonald's opening up in Chirnside Park. Hopefully it's better. Once it opens, I'll drive the extra to avoid this store. The drive-thru at this McDonald's consistently gets orders wrong. No exaggeration, I'd say between 3-4 times out of 5, our orders are wrong. It's so bad that we expect it. It seems like the kids that run the store are there to socialise rather than provide good customer service. It's McDonald's!! I'm not asking for Michelin Star service. All I expect, is someone to take my order down correctly then give me the stuff I've ordered. As long as it's fresh and hot, I'm good to go. The only reason this one does well is because there are no other options close by. Looking at the number of bad reviews and absolutely no feedback from the franchise owner is a reflection of the care factor they have and how it filters down to the staff that run the store. I don't expect anything to change but I'm hoping that the new store in Chirnside Park is not owned by the same franchisee. Once that store...
Read moreThe Manager insulted me and hung up on me when I rang up to tell them they didn't include a straw for my think shake delivery through uber eats. She lost her temper and said, "Did we super glue the lid on, just take the lid off and drink it.". Then she hung up.
Next, I emailed McDonalds about this, and they accused me of being a prank, and said that no further action would be taken.
They suggested that even though my order cost $10 of delivery, plus the cost of the food, that they'd give me a $5 voucher to cover another $10 delivery if I buy another item from their store through uber, so that they could include the straw that they forgot the first time.
They wouldn't budge on the $5 voucher that only covers half of the delivery cost.
Overall, it seems as though the Croydon McDonalds doesn't care about their customers, they're very comfortable insulting them, and happy to dismiss your complaint as a prank to avoid responsibility .
Update: Our next order months later was 2 hours late, stale / cold / disgusting and the coffee had spilt all...
