McDonald's — Restaurant in Melbourne

I went here yesterday, Friday 25th June, 2021 and I was very disappointed. My friend and I ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad, large chips, Fillet O Fish burger, an espresso and latte with two cups of water. We shared the chips, salad and burger because we believed that it would be the size that we had become used to, and that size was enough for the two of us. Unfortunately when we got our order and opened it, the salad was so small or about a third of what it used to be and the burger was about the size of a slider. The upside was that the burger still tasted the same apart from the bun and no sesame seeds on it anymore. The size of the serve was disgusting for the price and the expectation plus the photos that are put out of the products. Most of the time including yesterday, what you get looks so far from the photo adverting it that you wonder if you are really getting what you asked for.

McDonald’s, you NEED TO LIFT YOUR GAME and produce better products and what people expect plus value for money. You have become one of the most expensive fast food/task away especially a multinational company. Your coffee also needs to be lifted in the quality.

When we left, we left hungry. So thank you for your bad service of quality and being so tight with the size and quality of the products. You put the prices up but reduce the size and quality of the products you produce.

It would also be good if you make sure that you have mats outside and inside your doors so people can wipe their shoes especially when it’s raining. A disabled access on the side facing Freedom furniture would be extremely good. It’s a struggle to walk up stairs for some people and especially when it’s wet. McDonald’s, you could fix this as it’s not like you are short of cash. Also if you are allowing dine in, take the notice down that says “Take away only” because I was extremely confused yesterday and I noticed others were as well.

Yes we are under Covid but surly someone can fix the signs and things up. It would also be good if the staff that are serving and taking our money could smile, say please and thank you when asking for our money. That goes for everyone everywhere. Please and thank you goes a long way.

In short, don’t spend your $5.40 approximately on a fillet o fish or $10.60 on a salad. You get a better deal with a happy meal.

If you want a salad, go to Subway, you get a much better salad and far more plus you don’t even pay half the price for a small salad from Subway and their small salad is huge compared...

So I visited here Saturday for breakfast I was the only one to order and my head was spinning from watching the drive thru get served and uber delivery drivers picking there customers orders up while waiting a lady walked in came up and jumped the queue as I wasn't far from the counter the young girl came over took her order after that I walked to the counter and was told I'll be one minute so they continued to service the drive thru so I waited it was ten minutes by now then the young girl came over and took my order all I wanted was 2 bacon and egg muffins medium chips and a latte with 4 sugars I was watching one girl as think she was under training and felt sorry for her as you could see the other young girl wasn't good at training as I saw her go into the mc Cafe area bagging the new girl so one of the girls from mc Cafe came over and wasn't any better mind you this time I am waiting there were only a few people still waiting for there orders who were already before myself we were just waiting and being ignored I seen the fries being loaded 3times while there drive thru had about 6orders burgers and muffins were being slowly cooked drinks for customers where sitting on the bench all that time so after being in there I picked up my coffee took a sip it was nearly cold by that time and no sugar lastly went to put rubbish in the bin as tables around were dirty from people who expect mc Donald workers to clean up after them the bins were full it was 10:30 in the morning...

Fortunately not as bad as some who’ve been here, the floor was not sticky. However, my Angus beef burger tasted partly off. Yuks. The amount of topping sauce in the Hokey Pokey McFlurry was just too much. Ordering screen said they were not taking sit down orders. After I placed my order as takeaway I asked and was told they do take dine in orders and needed to fix the screen system. It didn’t seem high priority for them. Ok major complaints out of the way. We had fillet fish small salad fries happy meal. All ok. Gdaughter was happy with her happy meal toy. While waiting for my main order the Girl attendant brought my ice coffee from the McCafe side without asking. In the last Macca’s I was in at Mernda, no one even mentioned collection separately and no apology given when we missed the food order and went back to ask for it ten minutes later. So this girls gesture was appreciated. Back to this place, the kids play area is really noisy, even when only a couple of kids are there. The hard surface design of the floors walls tables etc reflect and bounce sound around. Poor design. We met a nice couple there and had a great chat. They’re from Lara, we’re based in Mernda and we meet in Preston…🇦🇺 Overall the staff were keen to help, even as they were easily distracted by their colleagues chit chat. I will not order that burger again as their food handling procedures are obviously not good enough. There are enough photos of this place...
