A great dessert spot in Doncaster East! A small shop with both indoor and outdoor seating, offering plenty of gelato flavors, cookies, crepes, and drinks. 🤩 The place was busier than I expected — you can really see how popular it is! 😎

𝗪𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 🧾 🍫 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗶 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗲 Dubai chocolate has been trending lately 😙, so I had to try it for the first time — and it didn’t disappoint! 😌 It was indulgent but not overly sweet, making it a perfect treat for chocolate lovers 🫶🏻

🍓 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 & 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗲𝘀 Nutella and strawberries are a classic combo that never fails to satisfy 🤤 The crepe had a unique texture — not the usual thin, crispy style. Instead, it reminded me of a Chinese egg pancake 😂 — slightly thicker and softer. Surprisingly, it worked well! The richness of the gooey Nutella and the freshness of the juicy strawberries created a perfectly balanced, indulgent bite 😋

🍨 𝗣𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗼 & 𝗕𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗲 𝗚𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼 🍦 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 & 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗚𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗼 🥭 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼 & 𝗟𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗿𝘁 The pistachio gelato TRULY stood out — rich, creamy, and packed with an authentic nutty flavor 🥹🥹🥹 It didn’t taste artificial at all; instead, it had a natural, earthy aroma that lingered with every bite 🩷🩷🩷 Absolutely a must-try! 💯

The other flavors were nice, but the Mango & Lemon sorbet was a bit too sour for me 🤣 — refreshing, but might be better for those who love...

There was no better way to celebrate a self accomplishment than by serendipitously discovering Meno Zero on a neighborhood stroll and trying their delicious desserts.

I’m half Italian, and I’m a woman, so I never shut up.

But their Vanilla Slice Gelati, with warmed-up Chocolate Lava Cake, and a mini Cannoli drizzled with their very own homemade Pistachio Spread…

Had me SPEECHLESS.

The barista made me a decaf latte, and you couldn’t even tell the difference from a regular latte.

He was ON POINT 👌

The gorgeous Jessica told me that many of the gelati recipes were a collaboration between her Patisserie Chef husband Paul and an Award-Winning Italian Chef from Italy, who curated and finessed each flavor to make every bite unforgettable.

Don’t worry about going down to Lygon St, or doing Chap Laps in the summertime (or anytime).

Meno Zero is where you want to be!!!

My fitness strategy is to work out just enough so I can keep eating dessert… so after a few training sessions…I’ll be back.

In my personal experience of tasting some of the finest gelato and ice cream across the world, the Vanilla Slice is a true star and worthy of some very prestigious awards. From an orange gelato in Rome, which tasted like the sweetest full flavour orange to a Meringue gelato in Florence which had texture and flavour of the finest crunch and stretch meringue, we now have Vanilla Slice at Meno Zero in Melbourne with the soft gooey icing and crunch of the pastry, mixed with beautiful vanilla custard ice cream!
