Situated in a nice and close location, we thought it was time to try it out. Plenty of car parks early in the morning. Arrived at the front door to have a look at what was available, there was an overwhelmingly large amount of posters, information that confused me. There were photos of items that look great but then it says it's only available in the afternoon. 😓 The decor and environment was very lively and I'm sure it's great for most but for me it was a sensory overload. I found the menu confusing as there was a flip chart with all the menu items but what was confusing was that the afternoon menu was there too, it was almost like a tease because we saw something that we would have enjoyed but it wasn't available now. It's great advertising but at the same time frustrating because you can't have it now. We ordered the pork cutlet with luncheon meat, egg and toast. We also got lemon tea and the award winning milk tea. The meal was $16+ and for that price I had expected something more. The portion wasn't appealing especially since everything on there is very easy to make except the pork cutlet. The taste was ok. The pork cutlet wasn't too dry and everything else tasted good. I understand that times are hard with rising prices but at the same time you want to encourage customers to come back again, so the balance is a little off between the portion and price. The milk tea was good but the lemon tea was not. All in all I don't think it's somewhere I would go often. I might go back to try the...
Read moreThis restaurant decorations is definitely best to show off the history of Hong Kong. The pork chop hot plate is getting really good, the black pepper sauce can have more black pepper and flavour. Tried the signature set with congee. The preserved egg and pork congee had very little ingredients and lack of flavors, however the chicken shrimp rice roll is just perfect. It had all the sauce that a rice roll needed. I feel like I am back to HK for a while. Their HK milk tea and coffee and milk tea mixed is very good. I love the bottle milk tea that I can bring home to enjoy. This restaurant is considered big. The seats and table are quite small. Staff are very friendly. Food come out very quick. Parking available nearby. Will definitely come back for dessert...
Read moreThe Hong Kong style milk tea coffee is nice, it taste as good as any average Hong Kong Cafes over in Hong Kong.
On the other hand, the food is horrible. Bake pork chop rice, the sauce is horrendous, and the pork chop tasted old (definitely not fresh). The Chicken rice is another classic...the chicken and the rice taste old and the chicken has no flavour. I don't understand why these are considered as their signature dish from their menu.
The service is efficient and helpful, as you would expect eating in a Hong Kong cafe, the decoration yells Hong Kong from any angle you look at.
The food is not cheap, you can have better and fresher food with those prices. Despite this type of food quality, there are still lots of people...
