Merryland Pizzeria Restaurant (Formerly Zia's Restaurant) — Restaurant in Melbourne

My previous review was deleted. I guess giving a real review is not wanted. Seriously bad to be putting orange segments as a garnish on tuna pasta. It’s dated, and doesn’t work. Plus it looks horrible. It’s 2025, not 1975. Plus the pasta came doused in Parmesan. Luckily I’m not allergic to dairy, at no point on the menu did it say anything about the pasta sauce being loaded with Parmesan. Service was over attempted, the young staff were trying hard. Under new management since the restaurant at this site traded as Zia's. The recipes have changed but I was impressed by my grilled chicken, chips & vegetables. Others at the table had lasagna and spaghetti bolognese. The portion sizes are generous. The staff are very friendly and attentive. More people should dine here because it's in a great location and the food, though different to the Zia's days, is still very good. I can foresee dining here...

To night my husband and I tried Merry Lands and were very pleased. I’m a coeliac and the waiter came out with a sample of three sauces that I could possibly eat. Great service! I had the Beef eggplant which was delicious. As good as my Nonna’s! My husband had the seafood risotto and was not disappointed at all. Great service, generous helpings. We’ll be back again. Dying to try the GF pizza....
