I don’t usually leave negative review for restaurant but this one is really a big disappointment. Just don’t call yourself a Japanese restaurant. This restaurant is just selling food in Japanese-like style. First thing first, I finished all my food. It’s just because I was too hungry, there’s nothing to do with the quality of the food. Photos speak louder. I have never had a self-claim ramen severed with a cooked egg. If you say, some people may not like runny egg yolk, then ask!! The broth is certainly made from soup powder. I don’t believe they freshly made their broth from pork bones. It doesn’t taste like it. It tastes like MSG. Half of the pork is just fat. Way too greasy. The chicken karaage curry is a total joke. I’m pretty sure they didn’t cook the carrots with the curry base. They are just deadly lying inside of the water like curry, cox they don’t have any flavor. And the curry is just too watery!! I promise you, any one can cook the curry better than this if you follow a proper YouTuber‘s recipe. I don’t know where did they learn making this curry. Maybe a caveman from ancient Japan. And the chicken are just some normal fired chicken. Chicken karaage is Japanese style fired chicken which has a special presentation. Those are not chicken karaage. I don’t even want to talk about the Tempura. Just those supermarket quality frozen bread crumbs covered shrimps were so soggy. I can tell it’s so dead. Very very dead, so as my tastebuds when they were touching this shrimp. The rest is just oily onion rings and sweet potato. To be fair, there’s one good thing about it, it was hot when served. Oh, I should mention about the environment too. The only thing I can remember there is the fly! The fly that tried to land on my food my entire meal. What surprised me is, they are actually pretty full. Omg… is it just me or no one care about the quality there?

Having lived in Japan for a full year (365 days), and Japanese cuisine being my favorite, I was excited to try this restaurant And I have to say that my expectations were met It has a good amount of seats inside, and a few outside The look and atmosphere is typical Japanese, including with the open kitchen, loved it Staff is very welcoming The menu offers a good variety, with very different items that are popular in Japan, both in regular restaurants and street food/ good trucks type: gyoza, takoyaki, tempura, okomomyski (savory pancakes), ramen, udon, soba, katsu (cutlet), donburi, bento, teriyaki, curry, niku (BBQ), sushi, sashimi... As for drinks they have done typical ones, such as Ramune, which I ordered I was willing to have takoyaki and gyoza, and so I did But I also followed their recommendation and tried niku tadaki Good choice. You get your personal grill, allowing you to cook it exactly as you'd like. It came with green salad, miso soup, and steamed rice. A must try Just like this restaurant Recommended!

The service with the new management is absolutely terrible and I will never step foot here again. They don’t care if you’re waiting, but rather tell you to leave as they are full and can’t seat you. The prices have increased and portion sizes are almost halved, with the quality also not as good. Everything is half portioned now. This was my favourite restaurant, it was like family to me. And I will always have good memories here😢 I am sad the original owners have left, as they are simply the most amazing people ever. But I am glad they are okay. I will leave my original review as a memory. This is my absolute favourite place ever. Can get busy at dinner time so please be patient, it's worth the wait. Love Love Tokyo Table! Everything on the menu tastes AMAZING. The manager, chef, and the staff are the best. ❤️

My sister and I used to go to Tokyo Table every Friday and we noticed there was always busy, but the food is nice and fast service. So we decided to book a table at 6.30pm on Friday 14/ 05/21 for 4 people. I called on Tuesday 11/05/21 to make a booking and was informed that they do not take booking on Friday and Saturday and ask us to come early if we want to dine in. So I asked my sister who worked near by came early and she came around 5.40-5.45pm that day. However, she noticed there were few table with reservation sign and she raised a question why there was different from what we heard on the phone. The owner said they simply changed their mind as many people asking( which is so wrong)??? Then she told her that IF NO BODY COME AT 7PM, SHE HAD TO LEAVE. I came later around 6p.m and we ordered a salad as an entry and wait for our guest. Then the restaurant became busy and she kept looking at our table like we occupied their table for nothing. My guest stuck in traffic and said they might be late 15min. Then the owner came toward our table at 6.15pm and kept saying we had to leave so other people can come in. I told her that according to her, we would leave if NOBODY CAME AT 7.00pm and we DID order food. But it was not 7.pm yet at that time. She left and return at 6.45 pm and asked us to leave, she said if we come to the big restaurant, they would do the same, and we should pay deposit to have a table which I found it is hard to believe. She kept talking and did not even let me talk. I mentioned that why she took booking of someone else but not me, and if she let us booked the table at 6.30pm, we would not go there early (at 5.45pm) to be humiliated in front of a lot people like that. She lost patience and kept saying she did not mean to upset us (which she already did). My guest came at 6.45pm and we decided "Nah, it was not worth it" and left.

It was a terrible and frutrated experience which I never want to go through it again. I would not recommend Tokyo Table to anyone and definitely not coming back. I hope no one should be treated with the way we are treated....

Discovered this little gem by chance at 9pm tonight and boy o boy we are sooooooo happy. Everyone claims to make Japanese food and called them japanese food, mostly just Chinese pretend to be serving horrible curry and remen and rolled up crap. For real japanese cafe style food this place nailed it. And actually owned and run. By real japanese (cool dude) too. ** would be great we to have the meal ticket vending machine too but that would just be the cream on top.

Tonkasu curry was spot on and the serving size was more inline with Osaka (aka massive), flavour was good, pork chop was freshly fried but plum and juicy. Onimiyaki was delicious. Food was definitely cooked with heart. Love the watermelon soda, which we always get when we are in Tokyo. They will even take bookings at night and serve you sushi if u request it. Interior is very similar to some smaller non chain cafe in Tokyo and open until 10 pm. We will definitely be coming many times more on the months we are not travelling to Japan. I am sorry samurai, I will be leaving you for tokyo table in a heartbeat now. And don't even get me started on the horrible Jiko pretend to be japanese, there is no way you get a 4.2 stars with that crap. But series ously, if u want the tokyo style cafe food, which is always cheap but super super good, fresh and tasty, you won't be disappointed. For those who miss japanese food from when you travelled, come here and you won't be disappointed.

Request to owner, can you import a vending machine from Japan and fill it with all the different kind of Japanese soft drinks and ucc coffee? We think that will be super awesome for the front...
