Mo Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Being located along Toorak Road, the café is centrally located. The staff are really friendly and food is great.

I picked Mo Café for breakfast based purely on Google Reviews. It was the highest rated among a few options and had a decently priced menu. I was not disappointed. The café is relatively small but has a great atmosphere (indoor and outdoor seating). I ordered something like a smoothie bowl which was great, and the coffee was also very nice. Considering location, the menu is well priced. Staff were very friendly. There are bathrooms out the back that you can ask to use.

It's worth nothing that there is a tram stop close by on Toorak Road, which makes the café that much more accessible.

The service is excellent and the staff are lovely but the food and ambience are quite average.

Regarding food, we were inspired by another review and tried the chilli scrambled eggs. They were quite disappointing - no bite, lots of dried onion and seemed to have some mild sambol but it did not come together well. The normal scrambled eggs with mushrooms were decent.

We also went after they responded to our question on dog friendlyness - they said their courtyard allowed dogs. When we went, they said it was closed so we sat outside in the front which was fine. We did get a view of the courtyard when visiting the toilets and realised it was tiny with little room and not very well kept.

So it's ok to go if you want to be seated inside and order simple favorites like...

Today after 6 months of covid restrictions, I have not been able to see my father so today with him visiting we popped into this little Mo Cafe for breakfast and coffee. What a great hidden little treasure we discovered. Food and service exceptional. See the presentation of the food, speaks for itself. I had the Rösti and my father had a simple poached eggs and toast. Was really happy, the atmosphere friendly with the workers all engaging with their customers with care and a sense of humor.
