We came here to eat and have coffee. The juices we ordered came out wrong but we were told that the images on the menu donât match up with the description⌠umm ok so we had to just drink the juices we were given. I ordered a green juice and it was orange, so Iâm not sure what the logic was here? We ordered only 1 round of coffee but the older guy kept bringing more to us. We kept explaining that we werenât ordering these coffees, so he kept taking them back. When we went to pay, they charged us for all the extra coffees we hadnât ordered. The food was overpriced, dry, lacked flavor and overall was terrible quality. Another time we ordered takeaway egg and bacon rolls. The overcooked egg and undercooked bacon came on a roll that was almost stale, had no butter or sauce or anything else. When we questioned it, we were til we had to request the extra spreads/sauces and would have to pay extra, even though we were already paying $14. We have not been back to eat but for a while we kept grabbing take away coffee, but the staff kept giving us full cream milk instead of what we ordered (oat, both lactose intolerant) so again, we decided not to return. If you look in their window, they have a fridge of food, itâs been there for days and all the meats are going bad and starting to attract bugs. Food does not look safe to eat and I would advise staying away. Walked past again today and is still the same expiring meats in the window, they have been there, in the sun for about 3 days now. Itâs disgusting. Also, all over Toorak Village there are signs up from all the staff that have recently walked out, the owners havenât been paying their Superannuation and not paying correct penalties.
Overall this business doesnât deserve to be open or to get your money. Itâs a disgrace and insult to the hospitality industry and to the local community.
I wish I could upload photos here as I have a heap that I have taken of the old food and bugs all over it. I will be sending to the...
Read moreI have honestly never had such a poor dining experience in my life. We ordered food and coffee at approx 11:55am. Coffee came out pretty quickly but the food didnât come out until 30 minutes later. I observed that the waiter returned from the shop with my gluten free bread around 10 minutes after my order was placed. The chef seemed to be standing around for some time not really doing anything. When my poached eggs and toast finally arrived after 30 minutes, my toast had only been toasted on one side and all of the food was cold. I also told the waitress that I ordered a hash brown. The hash brown still hadnât arrived by the time we ate the cold food and went to pay. When we were paying we noticed the waitress was going to charge us for the hash brown until I told her my hash brown still hadnât come out even after I had already told her. She didnât even ask us how our meal was. (Presumably because she knew it wasnât going to be good). If I could give this place zero stars I would. I wouldnât go back there if...
Read moreI was told upon sitting down in the outside patio, that a select few older women had been coming to the restaurant for 6 years and they were allowed to smoke under a covered dinning area. I was also told that the restaurant keeps these women happy for their loyal service, hence them not being told about not smoking under a covered area. I didnât realise loyalty meant breaking the law was encouraged.
Also, the guests dining in seem to get their coffees last compared to the traffic waiting at the window. Our coffee came out 15 min later once, then on another occasion came 15 minutes later and after our food was served.
These are totally first world issues (lol), although if youâre looking at putting your dollar towards something worth it, consider an alternative...
