Worst customer service ever, pls AVIOD THIS PLACE. it seems a fair bit of 1 star comment was about the cashier and I was wonder why no one mentioned her name? Just in case the owner is not aware who it was, her name is Jessie. I always goes to Laurent at diff venues but our experience today at Toorak shop was horrible. First of all, my wife and my kids went to order first while I was sitting at our table. My wife came back and told me that Jessie was so impatient while taking their order, no greeting, no smile. My son wanted to order an iced caramel latte, and she said we have no syrup, no ice-cream, that's fine, no problem. We'll have it with honey without ice cream. Then my younger son wanted an iced chocolate, she roller her eye ball and said "no" we don't have ice??? My wife and kids were so confused, and then she stared at my wife and said, "Don't you understand what I said?" My wife was angry and said to her are you saying you only have ice to make one iced drinks only? She said "no" I said we don't have ice cream only. Anyway, the order was done, and my wife asked her to repeat the order just in case, and she repeated it very impatiently. After my wife and my kids told me what happened I didn't want to argue with her on the spot because there is no point for a man to go to yell at her over the counter, so I went to place my order just like nothing happened then I heard Jessie was talking to the barister about my wife's order, saying my wife doesn't understand coffee, can't even speak English properly blah blah blah. If she didn't say all these to her colleagues in front of other customers, I properly won't post such long comments in here. I wish everyone could see this message and avoid going to Toorak Laurent. The economy is so bad now that I would spend my money somewhere else with respect.
By the way, my Oat latte was only Luke warm and my son's iced latter with honey was bad too. I'm sure the honey was added after the iced drink being made, no matter what we do the honey won't dissolve. Come on barister, add honey to the shot when it's hot, give it a stir before putting it into cold milk. It only takes you another 10 seconds.
Owner of Toorak Laurent I hope you can find some better staff soon, if not please train them properly how to serve customer and how to make coffee. A long spoon and temp gauge could be handy for them. Lastly, the 3 stars i gave is for Laurent's central kitchen only not for...
Read moreRecently, I visited Laurent Bakery and noticed significant changes in the staff. Unfortunately, the new manager's approach to customer service was disappointing. Not only did they lack knowledge about coffee, but their accents also made communication challenging.
The service was notably slow, and the quality of the food left much to be desired. Toast was inconsistent, either resembling charcoal or arriving cold. When I raised concerns about a cold coffee, there was no apology and the only acknowledgement was the manager's body language exuded arrogance.
I miss the old Laurent crew and hope the bakery can recapture the excellent service it...
