During my recent visit with family at Monster Chicken, which is a Korean BBQ shop, in St Albans, I had the pleasure of savoring their Japchae and fried chicken, both of which were outstanding. The BBQ is also delicious. The Japchae was a delightful blend of perfectly cooked glass noodles and a medley of fresh vegetables, all tossed in a savory sauce that balanced sweet and salty notes beautifully. I was impressed with the fried chicken. We had soy garlic fried chicken and each piece was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside.
The attentive service and inviting atmosphere made the dining experience even more enjoyable. All of my family members loved it. The kids are crazy about the corndogs and potato corn cheese here! They never get tired of them! I highly recommend Monster Chicken for anyone seeking authentic and delicious Korean cuisine...
Read moreVery clean and tidy when you walk in. The staff are awesome and friendly! The food is amazing and fresh with beautiful flavours. We ordered here on Friday and came back on Sunday coz it's all me and my family were talking about lol. I see price is an issue for some people, but considering the quality of ingredients and overhead costs - I'm happy to pay! I cook my own Korean fried chicken sometimes and let me tell you, that is time consuming and requires more ingredients than you think - hence the prices. If you want cheap - go to Maccas, if you want quality and a trip to Korea via your taste buds - order from here! The Tteokbokki rice cakes are deliciously soft and chewy, Japchae had some beautiful mild flavours, and the monster/ sweet chilli/ and soy garlic chicken is the tastiest, juiciest, crunchiest, flavourful chicken you'll ever get! See...
Read moreTrying to be as nice as I can. First of all, this place is clean and tidy. The staff are nice. The food came out looking beautiful, very nice plate up. However, the flavour of the sweet chilli and soy chicken is very sweet. We couldn’t even finish it as it was too sweet and left 1/3 behind. I had force myself to eat it as it was pricy, my gf stopped after 2 pieces. The only good thing about this Korean fried chicken is that it is crispy. The buckwheat noodles that we had was very powdery to our taste and had little flavour. The soup was mostly spicy and didn’t have enough flavour to come back for. I do like the concept of the brand name and hope it can succeed. But I don’t think I’ll come back...
