Read moreWow the customer service is pretty shocking. Went in looking for a dinner around 7:30 the nice waitress advised it would be an hour wait for a meal, which was fine but a bit odd given the meal area had about 2 tables filled. She recommended we head round the corner to the beer garden/bar for the time being. Headed over as recommended and was “greeted” by an older waitress who was less than hospitable. Asked her what ciders were available and she replied ‘we have forty’. Well that’s all good and dandy but not so helpful for making a choice, and whilst maybe this was obvious to her there was no signs or menus visible of what WAS available. She then mentioned what they had on tap which I was all for. Later on, as it had gotten late I asked what the food choices were for the area at that time of night and if pizza was the best bet. Was asking this as someone who is not a local and being under the impression their kitchen was closed, she replied ‘you can’t bring pizza in here’, I said no worries but I was told you aren’t serving food so just wanted to know what you’d recommend as a local if this late at night if pizza was the best bet, and she stated I could get a meal if I ordered in the next 5 minutes then repeated her self ‘you can’t bring pizza here’. It was a weird, unwelcoming place and the drinks weren’t cheap and obviously won’t be...
Read moreWow! Was on a nice sunday drive and pullled into what we thought would be a lovely quaint pub... Menu looked fairly appetizing so we ordered roast of the day(lamb) & rump steak with mushroom sauce and veggies! Entree of garlic cheesy bread to start with... Garlic bread was ok... Lamb roast came out with 2 very very small slices of meat, sliced zucchini and half a roast potato... For the price of $22.50 it was worth 1/2 of that price...Rump steak with mushroom sauce and veg consisted of a lovely piece of steak with a gravy that contained NO mushrooms and veggies were sliced zucchini and carrott and nothing ELSE!! $26 For that unpleasant meal...who serves a main meal with half a spoonful of carrot and zucchini only as the accompanying veggies! Bottled water for the table was in a used Jack Daniels bottle .I loved the idea of re-using the bottle till i poured my water and it was cloudy & i couldn't see thru the bottom of the glass bottle when i held it up.... We are by no means flashy restaurant eaters, love pub meals in main bistro or a bar...This pub is not worth the effort of visiting! 1 star is far to high.. Staff however were very pleasant...As Molly Meldrum would say" do ya self a favour &...
