I am not one to complain, but feel on this occasion, it needs to be said: Attended here for Mothers day. The place was so jam packed with tables, there was barely room to move. It took 20 mins to have our order taken, ( which we were lenient of given how busy it was). It then took 1 hour for my husband and daughters meals to arrive. I asked 2 waiters to see how long my meal would be and saw them both go in the kitchen, but not return with an update. There were no apologies given at any time by wait staff. I ordered a mere baked potato which the menu stated had " crispy bacon, and coleslaw " When I finally received my meal which by now, we had been there 1.5 hours, it was a roast potato cut in half, with some sour cream dumped on top and. couple of chives. Given my family had already finished their food, we chose to leave. When asked what the problem had been I explained our disappointment. An apology was offered, then we were told, everyone called in sick so we have all the young ones on. I understand their issue, and that staffing issues make service difficult but feel we had been more than reasonable, with no updates or apologies along the way. Perhaps if you can't manage the crowd, you could consider less tables, reducing the stress on junior staff, or be up front and advise patrons there may be a delay and give them a choice. Ranges has always been my go to for years, but sadly, I'll be giving it a miss for a bit.

when we first got there around 12 we were not greeted by staff for 15 minutes, after eventually being seated we were not made aware of any longer wait periods for food, so we wait d a further 10/15 minutes to have our drinks order taken, we ordered our food at the same time, 25 minutes later we were still waiting on our drinks (a tea, a coffe, and a coke) when i asked where they were were were assured they would be coming in the next 5 mins. they did not, we waited a further 10. so at this point we are in 35 mins of waiting and waited until 1:20pm for our food (chicken parma, smashed avo, eggs benny, and a nachos) after waiting over 45 minutes for food to then arrive we we’re expecting a high standard of food. i was left thoroughly disappointed, the eggs on the benny and the avo were overcooked, yolks were hard, and the avo lacked seasoning, the corn chips were stale and not crunchy anymore, i mentioned all this to the staff and she was apologetic and offered to take the two egg dishes off the bill or re make which we appreciated and they were taken off the bill, might i add to all of this that they were not busy, it was a cold raining day no one seated outside and half the cafes inside tables were empty. overall won’t be returning

2nd time at this place in the past year and only came back today as every other place in the area was too busy to accommodate two adults and two kids and we were all hungry. Was first told that it would be a 45 minute wait for anything from the kitchen. Then told we could have coffee and food from the counter. Which then changed to no, you can't have that pie because it is a 45 minute wait for anything that needs to be warmed up. By then I just wanted a coffee. After ordering this, I was told it would be a 20 - 30 minute wait for food. So I ordered two pies with chips and salad and x 2 hot cross buns just so the little ones would have something to snack on. Well, close to end of the meal, I turned over the 2nd hot cross bun and it was blue and green. Clearly stale. I had been feeding these buns to both of my boys. I showed my partner and he asked staff about it. The manager seemed quite indifferent and just said he would talk to the kitchen staff about it and would take it off the bill. Partner wasn't happy this was enough. Really if our sons get sick, of course we would be understandably upset. Pics attached. Won't be going back.

Not a pleasant experience here on Mothers Day. Trying to place what should have been straightforward takeaway order was confusing, weird and awkward.

The young man taking our order (after a lengthy wait standing around without being acknowledged) did not seem to know what was going on, or what was on the menu. After muddling through ordering the first few items, an older gentleman, presumably the manager, jumped in to snappily advise they ‘have a limited menu’ (despite the fact we were ordering items as shown as ‘takeaway menu’ which was bluetacked up, and ‘Full Menu for takeaway’ advertised outside), and then said that the ‘kitchen was closed’. Both of which was so fine, and understandable being the time of day, but absolutely no need to have an attitude about it - we weren’t being demanding or difficult, we just didn’t know and were simply trying to order off the menu shown! They were still able to do the nachos and drinks and scones we had already ordered, my husband then ordered a milkshake and paid.

While waiting we realised we had been overcharged by $3 for the nachos, had an additional 30 cents charged for the ‘cold milk’ in the English Breakfast tea (never in my life have I paid extra for the milk??) and the milkshake was not charged (which we didn’t receive anyway). After the initial ordeal just placing the order, it didn’t feel worth trying to raise it with the staff and holding up other customers.

Could understand perhaps the young man serving was new/inexperienced, but no need for the attitude and obvious irritation from the older gentleman, and neither were friendly from the get go. I’m sure Mother’s Day is one of the busiest days of the year, but we were happy to wait to order and were surprised to be met with such poor customer service.

The food was fine, the scones were lovely (although we were not given any takeaway cutlery which was difficult) but overall definitely not good enough to make up for the weird/rude attitude and being overcharged (especially as the food seemed overpriced for what it was, especially with the 10% Sunday surcharge on top too). We are normally not the type to complain but we were both really put off.

Definitely soured what otherwise was a lovely Mothers Day outing. Won’t be returning and would advise customers to check...

My two friends and I had a really disappointing experience here recently on Thursday 8th July for lunch- probably 1:45-3ish.

We waited for a table and no one was attentive and we had to almost get a table for ourselves and it took them a good 5-10 minutes to organise this.

First of all, my friend’s pancakes did not have the bacon or berries available and he was offered ham as an alternative which didn’t cut it. The pancakes were very ordinary, plain, dry, pale and not fluffy. He didn’t even finish the meal it was that ordinary. He was told on 2 separate encounters when both of these ingredients were out of stock.

My calamari salad had yellow lettuce leaves in it signifying that it was not fresh. And very overpriced for the portion size. Tomato sauce was given in plastic packets rather than a dish which shows effortless and careless presentation.

And my other friend’s toasted sandwich was $14.50 which was very plain and ordinary and a rip off for what it was. It could have been made better by me with my eyes closed. And he ordered a green tea supposedly which was served as a cup of hot water until we pointed that out.

No table water was offered until requested. The table we relocated to was all sticky and we had to ask for it to be wiped and she said it was due to the lacquer used on the table which was not true. There were dirty dishes when we came to the table and consequently they were understaffed. We were not even asked how our meal was and we were told to come back another day and that our general feedback of expressing the disappointment with the food was appreciated. A bit of an unusual comment to make. This restaurant needs new management. All the food was so ordinary and overpriced and we will not return. They also forgot to remove the milkshake from the bill which my friend paid for initially and the other had to point out he was overcharged and they then gave a cash refund. It would have been nice to be reimbursed to a degree or...

We arrived and waited at the front door at the sign “Wait to be seated” behind a couple of other people. After 5 minutes no one had approached or acknowledged anyone at the door or in the queue. The couple in front then just walked in and we followed. We were told to grab a menu and find a table.... no Welcome. We found a table that was vacant and clean. There would of been about 10 table free but 7 still had dishes from previous customers on them. We sat and read the menu and figured out what we wanted. A young lad took our order, but had very little knowledge of the menu or how to serve people. We asked for water and were told to help ourselves to a little stand set up. So I went and got two glasses of ambient temperature water, not even chilled...... 20 minutes we have been here now and still 7 tables with dishes left on them as the staff continue to walk around them. A group sat behind us and the lad told them that there is approx a 30 minute wait for food, he said they were busy, (still half the tables empty with dirty dishes on them). Another couple sat down and just ordered coffee, she asked the young lady if they were busy, and she replied, “Nar, it’s quiet today, unlike the other day”. We were confused, One staff thinks it’s busy, another says it’s really quiet, one says it’s a 30 minute wait for food and yet no one clears the tables. We have been here 40 minutes now (wish we were told about the 30 minute wait) but at least we started having a laugh with other customers, all saying the we came for breakfast/brunch but will end up having Lunch. 50 minute mark our food arrived. We had been sitting for what felt ages.... and it arrived burnt. Eggs cooked correct, bacon like rocks and the bread was black. What really tipped it off was when we left to pay, we weren’t even asked how were things or did we enjoy our meal, I guess they knew that there service and food were...
