Muffin Break Casey Central — Restaurant in Melbourne

This is my regular go to for coffee like 3 times a week & staff are very friendly, accommodating & coffee is usually very enjoyable but sorry to say today at approx 3.45 I ordered a med decafe latte which I've had many times if it's later in the day. After it being made the usual regular lovely staff member said taste it please before leaving, so I did, it was very bitter I said, it was a newish staff member who made the coffee. Then she lifted the lid & started to stir it, I tasted it again & said that seems better & left. She said well that's strange as we had already stirred it. I'm not sure if she just wasn't sure if she put sugar in it but half hr later I had the worst stomach pains & then diarrhoea for more than 2 hrs. If I could rate a 0 I would. This morning I thought I would treat myself to something fresh and tasty. Yet I got the complete opposite. I asked the gentlemen whom served me about the lindt promotion board out the front for the ‘duffin’ that they have advertised. He said that there wasn’t any ready but some would be coming out the oven in 5 or so minutes. I said ‘yeah sure I’ll wait for them.’ He went out the back and came back to the front within 30 seconds and handed me a muffin. I got to my car to find a stale muffin hard as anything. Clearly from yesterday’s stock. I had no problem waiting for a warm fresh one??? Why give me an old one. Clearly all about numbers of customers rather than quality of products. I recently visited Muffin Break and had an amazing experience. The spinach feta rolls were deliciously savory with a perfect balance of flavors. The banana bread was moist and had just the right amount of sweetness, making it an excellent treat. The almond croissant was flaky and rich, a delightful indulgence.
