I visited My Goodness in early October 2025 with a friend who was visiting Melbourne, while we waited for our Airbnb to open. The place caught our eye with its super cute exterior and little beer garden, which looked like the perfect spot for summer. Out the front, there’s a menu on the wall to browse before heading inside, and there are two entrances including one that looked accessibility friendly. The venue’s in a great location, just a short walk from Crown Casino, and easy to reach by tram via PTV. Inside, the vibe is really fun and cosy. You can order from a small kiosk counter where the menu is also displayed, and you can choose to dine in or take away. We decided to eat in and headed upstairs, where there was plenty of diner style seating for a smaller space. The setup included benches overlooking the city, a big TV playing the football, and even a retro style arcade machine which added a cool old school touch. The stairwell decor was cool too, with a bike hanging from the ceiling. The toilets upstairs were also clean and well kept. We ordered via the QR code on our table and logged in our table number. For food, my friend ordered a fish burger and chicken bites, while I went for large fries. We both grabbed milkshakes with chocolate for me and salted caramel for him. The food came out fast, within about 15 minutes, and everything looked well presented. The fries were delicious, and the dip that came with the chicken was amazing, though the chicken itself was a little dry. My friend loved his fish burger, saying the lettuce was crisp and there was plenty of fish. The milkshakes were great too, mine was rich and chocolatey, and his had a strong salted caramel flavour with the right milkshake consistency. The staff were friendly and efficient, and I liked the little diner style touches like sauces set up at every table. While we didn’t see any alcohol being served, the beer garden still seemed like it would be a perfect place to relax on a sunny afternoon. All up, we spent around $40–50 for the two of us, which felt pretty reasonable for lunch in the CBD. My Goodness has a fun, casual atmosphere, tasty food, and a cute setup that makes it stand out from the usual fast food spots. If you’re around Crown or the city and want something quick, yummy, and a bit different, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Where do I start… if I could rate this place 0 stars I would! We went here for a casual meal out as it had great reviews. Started off well with only another couple at the place ordering (we don’t like crowds and busy places). Menu on first glance seems good and we ordered a half and half pizza size Large (meat lover with a bbq base and the pepperoni) alongside some chips and hickory bbq chicken wings. First of, the wings and the chips were tasty! But we came here for the pizza which was a let down. Couldn’t even taste the bbq base on the meat lover pizza. What was more shocking was how a little MOUSE greeted us and gave us the pleasure of its presence… (SARCASM). I only noticed toward the end of our meal. It ran across some tables and I thought it was just a big spider but my partner then turned and saw it was in fact a rat or mouse! I felt sick instantly and did not want to finish our meal. We left obviously. But prior to that i spoke to the waitress who was the only one serving, to inform her. She replied with “oh yeah I guessed, I’ve seen it running around” and “we have told the manager and he is on it”… like girl what?! This place should be closed down whilst they clear it of mice infestation!!!!!! I couldn’t believe, she was so calm about it like the mouse is part of the team 😭😭 never again will I go for a casual meal at a place like this. Better to pay more than share your meal with mice! If it can run around like that on the front of the restaurant, imagine it behind closed doors inside the kitchen?! 🤢🤮

My experience was a bit of a mixed bag. To kick things off, we had a little hiccup with our order thanks to a male staff member. Our craving for a Portabello pizza somehow got lost in translation and we ended up with a Margherita on our table. Fortunately, a friendly young woman on the staff swooped in and saved the day by sorting out our order glitch. But let's focus on the bright side – the burger we tucked into was a real treat. It hit all the right notes and left my taste buds quite content. The restaurant itself boasts a charming vintage atmosphere that really adds to the whole dining experience. Sure, there were a couple of bumps on the road, but the quick recovery and the delicious food definitely made up for it. With a little extra attention to the small stuff, My Goodness Pizza could easily become a go-to spot for consistently delightful dining outings.

Absolutely disgusted with my experience!! I am in utter shock! My friend who moved to the building across from this "restaurant" got as a care package from the building a voucher for a free pizza from here. My friend and I went there the following week and while we were waiting in the queue the girl who was at the counter taking an order over the phone suddenly sprinted across the floor and loudly scolded another staff member with several hand gestures as well. We were absolutely shocked that she would do that while customers were present. Then when it came to taking our order she said that she has never seen our voucher, showed it to what looked like the manager, and said nope this is not valid because they have never seen such a voucher before. She went on to say that they had some deals that had expired a few months ago, but that was irrelevant to us! Then my friend asked for her voucher back but she refused to give. Then my friend asked for the voucher again and she was going to tear up the voucher!!! I then exclaimed that my friend needs to at least show the voucher to the building manager. But she still refused! Then the manager came and told her to give us the voucher. After we got it back she called US rude!! Again, we were absolutely shocked!! Because of one free pizza, this place lost many future customers and be sure we will be telling everyone in the apartment complex too. Zero customer service!!...
