I’ve been a regular customer at this café for a while, and over time I’ve noticed a concerning pattern. Every time it’s my turn to order — and my companion has noticed this too — the staff member would suddenly start doing something else, like tidying up or stepping away, and only return after a delay. This happens repeatedly, even when we’re clearly next in line. Today it happened again, and we saw it happen to others as well. It’s hard not to feel like certain customers are being intentionally made to wait while others are served promptly. When I finally placed my order, the staff member was cold and dismissive. I ordered three items all at once, but she made me repeat them one by one. When I asked a basic question about whether one item was hot or ready to eat, she answered “of course” in an irritated tone — but the item turned out to be cold. To be clear, another staff member who gave me my coffee was kind and professional. I’ve also had good service at other cafés when asking similar questions. So this seems to be an issue with one staff member in particular, not the whole store. It’s disappointing to feel like you’re being treated as a nuisance just for trying to order. I hope the café takes this kind of feedback seriously. —————————————————————

Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate that you’re taking this seriously. I’d prefer not to engage via private message, but I hope my feedback will still be taken into account to improve the experience for others. I don’t expect compensation — just respectful, fair service for...

From the moment you lock eyes on this places it's easy to understand why it's one of southbanks most popular coffee spots.

There's always people here, no matter how long the line is you never have to wait long for your order, I held off on a review of this place because it's so popular, but I am thrilled to say, I have been many times now and the coffee and food is always impeccable.

My favourite is an iced almond latte (usually with an extra shot 😘) but I have tried a few of the drinks there now and they all hit!

If you're a little peckish or want something for breakfast you have to try The Everest Toastie, all their toasties come with some beautiful flaky sea salt on the side that you can sprinkle on as you desire and I promise it's worth the experience!

The staff and the people in here are so friendly making for a great time if you dine in. Perfect location if you want to do a coffee catch up with someone or if you want to take your laptop their to catch up on some e-mails or documents before work.

I have to check out some of the night time events they have going on and I will give you guys and update after I do :)

I added the pic with a bite taken from that toastie so you guys could see I tried it... Huge bite for a huge props to the place....

OUTSTANDING! This cafe & Bar is one of the highlights of my trip to Melbourne. Food: today I had the ham, cheese and tomato croissant with a large coffee. The ham was moist w a rich flavour, perfect balance of cheese & tomato, and the croissant... Was so buttery, flaky and delectable I didn't want it to end. Additionally, the extremely generous large coffee was a surprisingly 'super-size me' jumbo! Made to perfection. Service: Swift, attentive, super efficient, professional and friendly. The team are extremely adept to handle the business as the flow of people is neverending... great gauge and testament to how fantastic an establishment is. Atmosphere: is constantly on 'blaze' mode but still comfortable to sit, enjoy daily playlist, read, people watch and just a lovely immersive culture that is Melbourne. I highly recommend if you're near, passing or ever in Melbourne. Furthermore, this will be the cheapest coffee and Sambo combo you'll ever indulge in. I recommend 'The Everest' - Chicken, Mayo & Tomato. Thank you team. Keep up the great work!...

Not a bad place to get a quick coffee or breakfast item. We got an almond and chocolate croissant which was nice. I got a mochachino and I can't say it left me with a desire to get another one from there. My wife had a chai latte which I generally don't order but I do try every time to see what it's like where we get it and here it was a bit watery and we just had one the other day that was creamy and tasted amazing so this one did stand out as not so good for me. (Bad timing that just the other day I had tasted an amazing chai latte :p) Finally I would like to point out that it's terrible to sit down during the start hours of work as it's right next to a parking garage and every few minutes, there was a beeping sound from the garage door to warn you a car was coming out. During other times it probably isn't that bad, just occasionally annoying. We did however pass by it later in the day and they had live music. Limited seating inside but an interesting way to get people to come by.
