We came here for the second time today. The first time was 2 weeks ago when we went to do âpaint your ownâ at Robert Gordon. After finishing we decided to grab a drink from Nancyâs. We stood around for a while, finally a girl asked if we wanted a table; we said yes we wanted to grab a drink, and then changed our minds and asked for a menu as she took us to a table. She seated us and we waited for 20 minutes, instead she served 2 other tables behind and next to us, never came back to give us menus or take a drink order - we were sitting right next to the coffee machine, so itâs not like we were out of site or far away. We decided to leave.
Today returned to have breakfast before again going to to do âpaint your ownâ. We had a booking for 3, myself, my husband and our 3 year old; which when arriving was only set up for 2. When she (the same girl as mentioned above) seated us she didnât bring over water, additional glasses or cutlery - we had to ask for this, despite watching her bring water to the 3 other tables she sat. She was rude, didnât smile once, and made no effort to be kind or polite she mumbled when taking our order, made no eye contact or ANY effort to apply basic social etiquettes. My toddler was sitting on my lap when she brought our food out - I had ordered the gnocchi which is baked in the bowl they serve it in, with no warning or reminder that the bowl would be hot she placed it on the table right in front of my toddler. My husband was sure to remind our son not to touch the bowl and grabbed his hands before he could touch the bowl - which was lucky because this girl had zero care factor and did not bother to let us know that this bowl was seriously, searing hot. She did not ask us how our meal was, nobody checked to see if we wanted to order another coffee or drink, and from watching this girl interact with all the other patrons, it appears that she does not enjoy her job or care about the experience people have when attending Nancyâs. There were 2 other girls on the floor, one in particular a red head who was smiley, and and seemed attentive to her customers. It is so disappointing to receive such poor service when the food was so good because, no matter how good the food is, when the service is that bad, we will not bother to return. I have never been so disappointed in the service we have received when eating out before, and judging by the reviews regarding the poor service in the last month; that have had no response from the owner, they donât seem to care that some of their staff are so rude and disrespectful. I havenât ever bothered to write a review when receiving sub par service before but this girl is so lacklustre, so rude and so overtly grumpy. This girl needs to find a job where she has no customer interaction because I seriously donât think she would be able to fake a good attitude if her life...
Read moreWe were table 33 today, sitting outside. They had issues with their QR ordering system not connecting to the printer inside their kitchen, therefore they missed 4 dishes from our party. We understand IT issues happen, thatâs not our complaint. Our complaint is:
A male waiter looking after the outside dining area didnât come and check in with us throughout the entire 1 hour we were waiting for the rest of the food to come. One of us had to eventually go inside to let them know we were waiting on dishes. Once the male waiter came out to let us know they were having printer connectivity issues, he didnât even apologise once. His response to us politely telling him weâve been waiting an hour is âI know I know, we know that nowâ. Not a single apology from him. We told him what dishes we were waiting on. We continued to watch tables upon tables who came AFTER us continue to get their food 2 of the 4 dishes were finally bought out by a different staff member, and we told her we were still waiting on the chips, and chicken & waffle dishes. Approx 10 mins later we got the chips, although we had ordered both tomato and aioli sauce, they had only brought out tomato. I asked the waiter to bring out aioli sauce and she said yes. Another 15 mins pass and we were still waiting for the aioli sauce and the chicken & waffles so I went inside to let them know. The response from one of the staff was that they didnât realise we were still waiting?! She confirmed with the kitchen and they said our chicken and waffles âwere comingâ.. all while they had 4 dishes from other tables sitting there ready to go out. A full 1 hour and 30 minutes after ordering, we finally got all of our dishes, but the chicken and waffles were missing an extra poached egg that was ordered for so my friend had to go back inside again.
All up, we had to get up and go inside 3 times to remind the staff of our missing dishes. The lack of sincere apology, urgency and prioritising our dishes to be cooked was shocking and absolutely...
Read moreMy first time here, popped in for a late breakfast/ early lunch on a Tuesday at approximately 11am. Menu had some interesting combinations, definitely not your usual breakfast menu. See attached photos. I ordered from the counter, and had a very negative first experience. The male assistant was very rude. First words out of his mouth were"what do ya want" no greeting, no smile. Then after ordering he said "take away?" To which l replied pleasantly, " No, l think l will eat in". I was told to choose a table. I did so with no response. I then paid via card. The male turned his back on me, while l was paying and continued making something else. I said l guess l just go sit down then. To which he just nodded. Not offered a receipt or anything. Not a great first impression. I decided on a Beef Bisket dipping roll, sounded a bit intriguing. I also ordered a 'Deliciously Delicious' smoothie. Yes, that was its name. Smoothie arrived very quickly. It was an unusual purple colour, and it was definitely delicious. The girl waiteress was pleasant and helpful asking if l'd like some water. Then arrived the Beef Brisket roll. Visually, it didn't look much due to the brisket being covered in melted cheese. It smelt great. I cut the roll into small pieces, enabling me to dunk each piece into the beef dipping sauce. Together, it tasted amazing. Sauce was very tasty but a little salty. I enjoyed each dunk and then bite. After the initial negative experience, l enjoyed the food and a wonder around the adjoining pottery store. I would probably...
