Nando's Coburg — Restaurant in Melbourne

I’ve never been to this restaurant before it’s kind of hidden and I got really excited when I realised where it is located. A girlfriend actually pointed it out to me. Firstly my friend found a small hair in her food. The man serving had great customer service & quickly rectified the situation & replaced the meal with a salad/ chicken. Unfortunately the chicken was cooked in a way, which caused it to be rubbery I don’t know if it was cooked fast at a high heat or microwaved. I’m not sure but she took one bite and spat it out. It also looked terrible. They then refunded her. I purchased a burger chips and a drink. My burger was made up of two pieces of lettuce, the lettuce was the outer part of the lettuce that’s brown and soggy & there was an onion in barbecue sauce & was absolutely terrible they didn’t even have the decency to heat up the onion relish in the burger so the only part of the burger that was warm with the chicke. The chicken was well cooked in the burger the sauce combination of cooked onions and dressing was just terrible. I didn’t complain. We were so hungry we hadn’t eaten all day but there were no customers in the store. They really need to do better. I’m really surprised they are still open Reading all the bad reviews. So I have always had an inexplicable love for nandos. I don't go very often as it's a bit expensive for what it is, but every now and then I will treat myself and take a trip. I've noticed that the popularity of this chain has dwindled over the years, with store after store closing it's doors. This coburg location has become a sort of holdout I guess.

So today I decided to treat myself to a lil nandos meal after a fairly depressing christmas period, BUT to my utter dismay they don't have self serve tomato sauce anymore!!?? ;*(

The staff were perfectly polite about it, but I felt the magic of nandos slip away as I tried to make the most of the two tomato sauce sachets they gave me. I wanted to ask for more sauce, but I didn't want to come across like some sort of sauce fiend.

The only way i've ever been able to justify the price of nandos to myself is the unlimited access to sauce.

I don't like this cold world where bottles are being replaced by inadequately sized sauce sachets. Nandos; once my shelter from the storm.. has now become just another abattoir where my dreams go to die.

Had pathetic experience today. Went to Nandos, coburg considering they are open till 10 pm with my family consisting of two kids. We reached there at 8:59 pm and was denied that no dine in available after 9.We asked for take away option and sit there and eat. We were asked to produce covid vaccine certificate, i had my digital card added in my wallet and my husband had the digital certificate. We were dealing with the supervisor and he did not accept the digital certificate and denied to provide food. We got highly disappointed and we walked away.This was questioned by another customer as well . To give us moral support he also walked away. The supervisor who was dealing in coburg Nandos on 25th Nov 2021 at 9 Pm was very rude and not willing to serve the customers. this was the first every experience from any restaurant.
